MioKJul 28, 2009This game has nice visuals, style, and music. The block physics and suck/blow mechanic are unique and really distinguish this game from the other Breakout clones out there. Some boss battles are fun and can be challenging. However this is still a Breakout clone at heart. The improvements might not last very long to keep you from getting bored playing this genre.

ThomasBJul 24, 2009A nice twist on the blockbreaker genre, it's fun and, at times, challenging. The Soundtrack is electronic enthused and matches the game perfectly, it's a bargain price and it shouldn't be missed.

Dec 10, 2013What a weird... well crafted... Okay, I'm dazzled. This game is awesome! Maybe one of the best OST ever! Don't even hesitate, this is a must have. After one hour, you'll be addicted. The gameplay is brilliant, clever... But I stop right there. For me, that's a new Tetris.

Oct 22, 2017This is probably the best Arkanoid game I played on PS3. It takes the spirit of the original brick breaker games as a basis, but then Shatter is imaginative and well-designed on its own. Besides, it poses an interesting challenge for hardcore players, since some of the trophies are quite difficult to get.

-
A delight from beginning to end...Shatter stands right up there with Breakout and Arkanoid as one of (if not the) best brick-breaking games ever made.
-
It's a fine interpretation of the old brick-breaker style, and it should keep you entertained, even if it's only once or twice.
-
Taken as a whole, Shatter combines well-thought-out gameplay with a highly polished and immersive aesthetic. Only a particular type of person need apply, perhaps, but if you’re into Geometry Wars or other score-based titles, Shatter should keep you satisfied.
