Old meets new in Revenge of the Wounded Dragons, an engaging retro beat-'em-up that borrows a few ideas from platformers.
-
Pelit (Finland)A quite decent beat 'em up adventure. Almost all basic enemies can be beaten easily by crouching, though. [Apr 2010]
-
Revenge of the Wounded Dragons is a good little Double Dragon-fighter that is best (and easiest) when played with a friend. No online mode and a little odd control issues at times still cannot change that this is solid two player entertainment that's well worth its price.
-
Not a bad pickup to play through this holiday season with some friends or family, but it doesn't leave that lasting impression that makes you want to come back again and again like the classics of the genre (Final Fight, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Metal Slug).
-
Play UKThe addition of a second player certainly adds to the enjoyment, but this is far from an essential download. [Issue#191, p.93]
-
PSM3 Magazine UKFor its five hour duration, the retro feel has a low-rent charm. [May 2010, p.96]
-
If you’re looking to kill a few hours with a mate, then this would do the job; if you want any more than that, steer clear.
