    This is the most pleased Ratchet and Clank game on ps3 and maybe ps2 with the level of graphics they put on for the ps3 and the very long well-written story with challenges, combat, and bosses. One of the best games on ps3 and hope soon they make a new future game on ps4 :)

    The best storyline in the whole series and the best end, gameplay is also great. The graphics are incredible and clank puzzles are quite enjoyable only one problem with this game is that the ships levels are quite boring.

    I personally prefer Tools of Destruction over this game, but this game definitely has stunning visuals for it's time and super addicting gameplay that you can play for hours upon hours. However, the best part about this game is the story; it's super intriguing and entertaining. The best story in the series so far.

    Playing this game is like watching a saturday morning cartoon. It's such a blast to play and can be quite challenging at times. If you want a game with an excellent storyline, beautiful graphics & excellent gameplay A Crack in Time will have you covered on all fronts.

    One of the best games you can play. Everything about this series screams the word "fun" but this one in particular was hands down the best experience of them all so far! I love the clank time puzzles, they are easy at first but take quite a bit of thinking towards the end. I adore all the characters in this franchise and it is awesome when you see people from previous games return or makeOne of the best games you can play.     I've given this a 9 because the story mode is good however i found flying round in space and doing some of the moons a bit boring. I loved the hover boots as they make it a lot easier than using the charge boots all the time like in the old game, the hover boots also make it easier to get from action to action so it makes it more enjoyable that you can kill more enemies in a shorter amountI've given this a 9 because the story mode is good however i found flying round in space and doing some of the moons a bit boring. I found the variety of weapons very good as there are just normal guns and burping frog guns. I think i would give it a 10 if it had multiplayer and online like in 3 and gladiator as I don't think that just the story is going to keep you entertained for more than 20 hours. I think it's worth buying and if you don't have the games before this one there is a cinematic telling you the story so far.… Expand

    Seriously, if the PS3 ONLY had it's exclusives and not a single other game I would go out and pay $500 for it today. The R&C Future series are just beyond amazing. You'd swear you were playing the playstation 4 it looks so amazing, it has such incredible framerates and of course, obsidian, being one of the world top devs has made the gameplay fun on every level. Seriously after playing the R&C:F games, killzone 2, uncharted 2, and resistance 2 I now realize just how much the xbox is holding back gaming. All these 3rd party devs want to make games on both so they have to make games with 1/3 the content and drasticaly lower graphics than if they were making a PS3 only game. Seriously it's a shame we have to suffer having mediocre games because people think the xbox is better than the PS3 which it is not, in any way. XBOX has HALO... seriously? ODST sucked, nothing else worth mentioning. Don't forget to check out Captain Quarks new movie, "My blasters run hot!" (now playing in holo-theatres galaxy wide.)… Expand

    "Crack in Time" is a great addition to the series. The time puzzles are awesome, although at first I wasn't sure I would like them. I'm currently playing my first replay, on Hard mode, and some parts of the game can be a real challenge. Make sure you complete all the moons - they make the game last much longer. My only complaint is that the RYNO V isn't the best RYNO of the "Crack in Time" is a great addition to the series. The time puzzles are awesome, although at first I wasn't sure I would like them. I bought a PS3 specifically for R&C (but obviously use it for much more). I hope this isn't the last in the series, because there's really nothing else like it anywhere. The main antagonist from the 3rd Ratchet and Clank game, Dr Nefarious, returns (Yay!) and plans to use a device called the Great Clock created by the mysterious beings, the Zoni and create aRatchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is the best PlayStation 3 game I've played. Although it feels distinctly similar to the other Ratchet and Clank games, there are a few new things to keep it fresh. The game play is similar to anyone who's played a Ratchet and Clank game: You have a selection of weapons and have to fight through enemies to reach the end of the level. The weapon designs are great like the Buzz Blades and the Tesla Spikes.The spiritual moons return from past RaC games and are fun to explore. The graphics are lovely: It feels like your watching and playing a Pixar movie. A new game play element to the series is the introduction of Time Puzzles which Clank has to solve which are fun to solve and the later puzzles in the game give your brain a workout. The plot is interesting and the characters are well designed and nicely voiced. The boss battles are epic and quite challenging and the soundtrack is superb. The game consistently rewards and praises you while running through the game, and even though some of the challenges are easy, it still gives has a nice feel good touch.     Amazing game, the story is great, the game play is better. Truly the best game in the series. This game has many changeling puzzles, heart-pumping action, and laugh-out-loud humor. This game is great for anyone and everyone.

The story is in parts amusing, but overall very touching and surprisingly moving.     This was a really great game. one thing i liked was the space exploration, this is a great addition to the game, and made it seem more alive somehow. I hope they add it to another ratchet and clank game in the future. the graphics are even better than they were in Tools of Destruction, you also get the hoverboots which are a better version of the charge boots.     This game is worthy sequel. Not the best R&C game, but defiantly worth having. I like the new layout of travelling from planet to planet including sub missions. I would love to see the old ps2 game update for the ps3, I think there is a an audience. R&C is probably the best platformer out there, fun for all ages

    If this is indeed the las time that we will see of Ratchet or Clank for awhile then they surely went out with a bang (no pun intended). It has everything you'd expect from a R&C game along with new clever puzzle pieces making this is the best R&C game to date.

    Funnier to experience than Tools of Destruction, it's more of the same when considering the presentation and gameplay elements but if you thought that TOD and Quest for Booty lacked the comedy the series is sometimes known for, Quest For Booty will do brilliantly for your platforming needs

The pacing is amazing also, you work thru a huge battle requiring strategy and planning which leads into a cerebral puzzle or twitch rail platforming section.     Solid peace of gaming and an excellent cap to the R&C franchise. Finished it after 15hrs of playing. Granted i played it on normal mode (like i do all games at first). Only thing i can say is that on that level, the bosses are pretty tame. Only died once fighting Nefarious, but other than that i loved it. They should totally make another. Great game, great graphics, totally worth it.

    It's an okay game if you have nothing else to play. The previous game FTOD was much better though. It had a better script making me laugh often whereas this one I laughed seldom. The new weapons are cool though and I enjoy how insomniac keeps the weapons fresh. I do miss some of the older aspects like more grind rails and the mini games like the hacking the circuit with the sixaxis. It's an okay game if you have nothing else to play.     This game is just amazing and i have only just finished the first level. But all the new moves and puzzle solving is brilliant. Yeah sure it has been the same for 7 years like the movie critics have said but if you've been playing it since PS2 and RAC 1 then it is amazing to see how everything has evolved from then on. Absolutely breathtaking.

    Excellent adventure , with paradox puzzles , customizable and upgradable weapons. Performs well with a good story platforming and action. Last but not least the Omega Ryno V is an Epic Weapon.

I loved this game so much i was gutted when i took it back to Blockbuster. However, i did manage to get an easy platinum trophy out of it! There are a few annoying glitches though.     Ratchet and Clank is one of my favorite video game series of all time. The platforming, great graphics , good gameplay, comedy, and cool storyline are what makes certain games like this great. 10/10

    One of the best games money can buy. The arsenal of weapons is better than expected, the characters are real characters and.. Quark is definitely being..Quark. Great graphics, great gameplay, better space combat and free real roaming-- everything you expected and maybe more. The ending was pleasing.. but so sad to see the series end. Long live Ratchet and Clank!

    This game is pure fun. It follows the same formula but never seems to get old. The new additions from previous is the ability to now travel between planets and do mini planets/moons, fight and earn bolts from jobs! Leveling up weapons as you use them and collecting all the special item's is very satisfying. If you want a brilliant 3d platformer with a great story then look no further.

    This game was very good the graphics were smooth the gameplay was very good I liked giong from moon to moon although there should have been more planets another complaint is that the weapons werent as useful as the other R and Clank games very very good but not perfect. 9/10

The bosses are boring to be honest. Only the last boss was mildly entertaining. The weapons in this game are not as good as they were. They are all more or less the same with their shotgun range.     I found the games annoying and tedious to play. I just didn't find myself having a good time with this game and I must say this was more of a chore than an experience. I know many people had enjoyed this but for me I didn't like it.

    this is a zero game. problems. too many pixel perfect jumps. too many falls to instant deaths clank puzzles are broken, the quit button dont work. so i'm stuck this game has gone back in time in graphics, guest for booty is great. this is a zero sum game.

    Ratchet and Clank is a beloved series on the PS2 and PS3 and the Future games are totally awesome. My daughter and I love the series! It's not coop but you can still enjoy it together.

The story is interesting, weapons are unique and somewhat customizable, rewarding gadgets and lots to do on challenge mode (or on the first play through) like catching Zoni, doing side missions, running around on moons, looking for Gold bolts, upgrading your weapons, flying around in space and fighting in the arena.
    It even has a    A solid 9.

I thinkRatchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is the final game to the future saga and overall became a more exciting game than Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty. The game may have the same formula as previous Ratchet and Clank games, but provides new elements that's never been featured in the other Ratchet titles like exploring through space freely and the new Clank's time puzzles. I think what makes this game really engaging is the continuation of the story and those outstanding animations. Though some parts of the plot are a bit mind boggling and even if the visuals are really vivid this time around, the cutscenes seem too inconsistent compared to previous Ratchet games. As always, the writing in the story and humour is great for both kids and adults to enjoy with a great set of voice cast to make the experience really entertaining. Like Tools of Destruction, A Crack in Time came close to a perfect 10 with its old and new variety of gameplay, but the lack of world explorations and recycled weapons gives it a 9. Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time is definitely the better Ratchet and Clank game to try out on the PS3, but be warned that you might be confused with the story if you decide to play this game before Tools of Destruction.… Expand

Firing the Rift Inducer 5000 and seeing your kraken-like monster buddy Fred come out of a black hole to pull in enemies never gets old. Graphics are as colorful as ever, and the breathtaking environments are simply beautiful. Clank has a whole new role to play in the series, and his time-based puzzles are imaginative and challenging without being frustrating. It uses the gameplay formula style of Tools of Destruction and Quest for Booty, but they've improved it, they've tweaked it so that it's more fast-paced and engaging, it's an awesome game to play. The graphics style has changed a bit, so that it looks better, it's very easy on the eyes. One thing that makes the whole experience even better is the massive space hub-world, where you can explore different moons, complete quests, listen to hilarious radio, and blow up stuff. One of the best parts of A Crack in Time is the excellent story-line, with shocking twists, hilarious conversations and stuff, and dramatic sequences. The soundtrack wouldn't be that great to listen to on its own, but it fits in with the game insanely well. If you haven't played this game or got it yet, I truly, truly recommend this to you!… Expand

I will usually get a few chuckles out of a Pixar movie or Saturday morning cartoons, but this was flat as a pancake for me. Not to say that kids humor can't be funny to adults, but it felt like they were trying so hard.

    Another thing this series is lauded for are the weapons-which were also disappointing. I only really felt like one or two guns did any damage and half the guns are just for crowd control of some kind or another. Add that on top of an auto aiming system that is really finnicky and you'll get real frustrated, real fast.

    And speaking of frustrating-the platforming was really rough for me. Way too often I would miss a jump for seemingly no reason, then die instantly, then restart at a checkpoint from way back in the level. It was a real exercise in patience to complete the game at all.

    If you like the series, you probably don't need my opinion and more power to you, but if you're like me and thinking of giving it a chance, probably just skip it.    … Expand

It is fun to play, but it didn't blow me away like it did with Uncharted 3. Same with gameplay. There are a few parts that I really dislike in terms of mapping/locations or whatever you want to call it. Its gameplay is really good, even the Clank stages which I disliked in the other games, the story is great and unique, the graphics and design is just so beautiful, and the soundtrack is amazing. Before I start let me say this: This is a masterpiece, the best Ratchet game on PS3, the best game Insomniac made for the PS3, and one of the best games for the PS3. If you have a PS3, go buy this, your collection isn't complete without it! It follows the story of Quest for Booty (which is a follow-up to Tools Of Destruction), It completes the trilogy with a fun and clever platforming based gameplay, with lots of weapon based battles and time travel segments. The story is a freaking masterpiece, you set up on your journey to save your best robot pal, Clank, and along the way, you learn about Ratchet's race, the Lombaxes' fate and why they disappeared from the only other remaining Lombax in the universe, General Alister Azimuth. So this is the Ratchet gameplay. But you get to also play as Clank, in the Great Clock, who is also learning about his origins and how he was created by Orvus, and along the way, you get an awesome weapon capable of slowing time, you also have to solve some mind-cracking puzzles based on multiple selves (time recording? I don't know what to call this exactly! Lol). The game has a serious nature, the story is very dramatic, but of course, Insomniac developers never forget to throw Captain Qwark to tell some jokes and add a humorous side to the game.
    Even after you complete the main story, you don't really complete the game, you could set out to search for the RYNO V holo-plan, which you can later assemble to obtain the most powerful weapon in the game, you could participate in the Agorian Battleplex, in which you participate in tournaments to win even more weapons and gadgets. You could also collect 40 Zonis scattered across the universe to upgrade your ship, and therefore access more planets to collect more Zonis that are hidden in them. And what do you know, when you finally collect all of them, you get to fight Lord Vorselon again in an awesome (real) final boss battle. And even when you complete that, you could just crack up the difficulty level to add more challenge to the game or play the challenge mode, where you just restart your game whilst keeping all the weapons and Zoni you collected during your first game! Overall, this game got everything you want to see in a R&C game, fun gameplay, charming story that makes you want to keep going, clever puzzles, awesome humourous dialogue, weapon upgrades, and a small funny advertisement for weapons you get after buying each new one (Insomniac didn't need to get through all the trouble to make this since it adds nothing to the gameplay, but it's small detail like this that improves it), and a complete weapon costomization section which includes removing or adding accessories, giving you the possibility to change the whole weapon, and you could even paint it! Sweet! And even if you are a newcomer to the series you eon't miss anything, since during the game installation, Qwark gives a brief, funny, summary of what happened during the two prequels.

    You will love the weapons, most of the planets, the sidequests, and riding around the galaxies while listening to the Pirate Radio or the Deep Space Jams!

    I love this game. It nails everything it tries to do. The graphics are maybe not the best on the ps3. But the planet design is awesome. The weapons are creative and each one feels different. The plot is one of the best in the series and the characters are awesome too. This may sound stupid, but i think it's the best game on the ps3 and it's one of the most underrated games of all time.

The gameplay and unique weapons are what bring this game home, as well as the cartoonish humour. A Crack in Time returns one of the series' most unique characters, Dr. Nefarious, who many PlayStation players will recognise from Up Your Arsenal. Insomniac played around with the mechanics of the game, such as ship missions, and the graphics received an update, proving players with a Ratchet and Clank game that stands out from the crowd. Now that Rift Apart is on the pipeline, I have decided to return to the series and I was very pleased with A Crack in Time. A Crack in Time has everything a Ratchet & Clank game has to offer. Explosions, fun weapons, humor, gorgeous graphics and cinematics. You mostly play as Clank in the puzzleI am a big fan of Tools of Destruction, but I was very disappointed with Quest for Beauty. Now that Rift Apart is on the pipeline, I have decided to return to the series and I was very pleased with A Crack in Time. A Crack in Time has everything a Ratchet & Clank game has to offer. Explosions, fun weapons, humor, gorgeous graphics and cinematics. You mostly play as Clank in the puzzle parts of the game and as Clank in action parts. Also, this may be the largest Ratchet & Clank game ever made. It has dozens of planets, which you can travel anytime with your spaceship and during your travels the game will become a space shooter. Even if the space combat section of the game does not feel very deep, it still brings a distinct flavor. I loved the soundtrack, especially the jazz. It has a wide range of tracks and the music suit well the rhythm of the game.

    The main problem with A Crack in Time is the story. Although the game never takes itself seriously and it would be unfair to expect a deep story from a Ratchet & Clank game, I’ve found the story of the Tools of Destruction more cohesive. Also, hard difficulty can be too hard in your first playthrough at times, so I would suggest playing on normal difficulty on your first game and maybe switch to harder difficulties when you unlock many weapons. I played on hard mostly, but switch the normal when things got too frustrating. I did not beat the optional final boss Vorselon which requires some grinding, but I may consider doing that in the future.

    All in all, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is a great game. It’s easily one of my favorite platformers ever, up there with Tools of Destruction. It takes as long as you want it to take and offers non-stop entertainment.    … Expand

The Story follows *spoilers* Ratchet as he's trying to find his Robotic companion and Best friend Clank, who is trapped at the Great Clock by Dr. Nefarious, along the way Ratchet meets another Lombax named Alister Azimuth, who teams up with Ratchet not only to save Clank, but also for his own redemption.

    The Clank challenges, are great, the open Galactic Space Travel was brilliant, and the hoverboots, are fun. This game is excellent, and if you have s PS3, and you do not have A Crack in Time, get it Right now

Clank sections, although being slow and repetitive, are quite enjoyable as the puzzles aren't too complicated or long to solve. The story also isUndoubtebly the best game in the entire saga.     But the masterpiece resides in its brand new space navigation system. In past games you had to watch a cutscene of Ratchet flying in space before landing on a planet, in this one, you fly where you want by yourself. Indeed, you can cruise though a few different sectors, each containing one or two planets and a handful of moons to explore completely. But also side quests and jobs for NPCs to complete, enemy satellites and ships to destroy, all which can be done listening to four radio stations (classical, electro, jazz and rock)

    Everything is good, except the temporable displacment puzzles for clank and the terribly design space ship boss battles. Plus i missed the more zoomed in 3rd person camera from Tools of destruction

    Probably the best Ratchet and Clank game in the whole series. Finallly, a clank section that I actually like! The one thing I do have to knock it down for that the weapon upgrade sytem was unbalanced. All through the game it was pretty even, then you get to one level and your weapons start upgrading crazy fast! like I was able to upgrade to 4 or 5 weapon levels in that area. OtherProbably the best Ratchet and Clank game in the whole series. Finallly, a clank section that I actually like! Сильно подтянули уровни с Кланком, они стали интереснее за счет интересных головоломок с копиями и манипуляций со временем, что является основой сюжета. Сам сюжет цепляет и интригует, после появлением нового персонажа, что меняет мировозрение Ретчета. Концовка удивила больше всего, как и сюжетно, так и геймплейно.

    Literal god tier ratchet and clank game, this game is 10/2 years old (at the time of writing this) and it’s aged like fine wine. Best gadgets, best weapons best story, best side characters, best villain, meh side villain. But most importantly Best Gameplay! Do your self a favor, fan or not pick this game up you won’t regret it

    Same gameplay, new story. More jokes and many new little gadgets make the new part of this series as enjoyable as the older ones. Insomniac Games build on their qualities and do well so.

    This is the last part in the trilogy and has a few new gameplay possibilities. You can use the great new Hooverboots, explore space with your spaceship and you need to find Clank. A great adventure and a truly worthy closing of the trilogy.

    It's not a difficult game, but with bolts, Zoni, Skill Points, holoplans, Constructo Mods, space missions, Trophies and Challenge Mode, there's an abundance of gameplay. It's a robust single player experience, and I particularly love that Insomniac has kept their signature Skill Points, with their own quirky requirements, separate from Trophies.
