In an era where every third-person shooter comes with bloodstains and a cover mechanic, it's nice to return to this lovable duo and discover that they haven't aged a bit.

Aug 28, 2012Idol Minds did a wonderful job sprucing up Insomniac's celebrated action-platforming series. It rarely occurred to me while playing that these are gussied-up versions of last-gen games. Few modern games boast such strong levels of writing, pacing, and gameplay. Whether you're a Ratchet enthusiast or a series newcomer, this collection is a ton of fun.

Aug 15, 2012The Ratchet and Clank Trilogy is a strong remake collection. All the titles in the pack have received a facelift and are still as much fun as they were back in the day. The games have a lot to offer with a lot of humour, ingenious weapons and futuristic gadgets and are as much fun for players wanting to relive the past as for gamers new to the series. The only slight downside is the simple multiplayer mode.

May 24, 2012This is a well remastered compilation of three solid titles. They transitioned pretty well to the HD (and 3D) format, thanks to an artistic direction that didn't try to do too much at the time, with cartoony textures and models. The games themselves have the qualities and shortcomings of the originals. Nonetheless, the relevance of those games compared to the PS3 episodes may be questioned if you're not a die hard fan of the series.
