If you are looking for a game that will tax your brain without complicated a control scheme, then Puddle might be the one to quench your puzzle thirst.

Puddle entertains as much as it frustrates. Some stages you clear at your first try, others you start 40 times or more. But if you are willing to overcome this adversity you`re rewarded with a fascinating physics-based puzzle adventure.

What we have here is a classic case of (slightly) missed opportunity. With an original concept, impressive gameplay variety, pleasing visuals and music, came a few problems that can be just too much to handle.

Despite this Puddle is an original concept, and it can certainly be addictive. It is refreshing to see a game this simple be able to grab a players attention for a number of hours. Enjoyment of the game will definitely depend on the player's ability to handle frustration as it probably could have done with a lower difficulty setting. That being said, if a puzzle game gets you to keep coming back it must be doing something right.

It seems as if Puddle might have been far more succesful in portable systems, especially in those with motion detection. There are plenty of good ideas behind the game, although the content falls short and doesn't justify the price. A decent game, but not outstanding.
