AndyK.Oct 31, 2008Far better then 2008 in every way. Slowdown in the replays and on the pitch has been fixed, you can put in your own music and chants, not hard to get the updates off the net, animation of players is spot on, Champions League included etc. Could go on. Such an improvement on 2008 its a wonder how they got the first next-gen pro evo so wrong.

DemetriOct 11, 2008I played the demo. Many times. If you want a football game that has great ball physics, player control, game pace, and off the ball player movement, this is the game for you. It's also fun to play...obviously.

Sterling footy action but the lack of new ideas is starting to grate. [Nov 2008, p.62]

Playstation Official Magazine UK"FIFA 09" feels like the better representation of actual football, while PES is the more fun, accessible game. And the end result is a score draw. [Nov 2008, p.100]

If you want to play with your friends offline or love playing master league without any changes - this is the football game for you. But if you want to play online or look forward to the new game modes Champions League and Become a Legend - prepare to be dissapointed. It's a great game on the pitch and a lot of small improvements has been made, but everything outside the pitch is far behind the competition.
