Plants vs. Zombies is great fun, and is one of those games that will have you playing just one more level until you find that you've played for another hour or more.

Charming and hard to stop playing. See for yourself what all the fuss is about. [April 2011, p.81]

There's a reason PopCap has ported this game to almost every platform under the sun, and its embrace of zombiemania only hints at it. As with brains this is delicious. [April 2011, p.78]

Plants vs. Zombies is charming and addictive, standing right up there with the best of PopCap's offerings like Peggle.

Would be PSN's best strategy game - but not at this price. [Apr 2011, p.90]

While I'd be hesitant to recommend it to hardcore FPS players, gamers looking for an easy going way to unwind should have quite a bit of fun with PvZ on PSN.

The huge amount of plants and the various zombies are the right ingredients for a good tower defense game.

Only minus the satisfying touch-screen interaction. [Apr 2011, p.118]

I consider Plants Vs Zombies the highest point of Popcap. His biggest success, and personally the best of all casual games to date. A strategyI consider Plants Vs Zombies the highest point of Popcap. His biggest success, and personally the best of all casual games to date. A strategy video game that combines good humor and a great soundtrack, with IMPECCABLE gameplay. Perhaps many people find it quite easy, but the way in which all the game mechanics are used is in the survival mode. This is where you have to put together and take advantage of strategies with your 49 plants!!! Besides that this version is better than the PC version in every way, including better graphics and more content to a game that already had it. The multiplayer mode is amazing, although it is a shame that it is only local and does not have an online mode. I have also noticed that the PS3 version is easier than the PC version, since you have the bushes to predict the movement of the Zombies (especially useful in the foggy levels), and they usually give you many more plants for the zen garden. , which will give you much more money. Although this may be because there are more items in the store, such as the ability to buy and upgrade your house. If you already played the PC version and you liked it, or you didn't directly play it on any platform, I recommend that you switch to this version. The improvements in gameplay and content make it worthwhile! And if it wasnt enough, if you are lucky to find a physical copy of this game (is so rare) you would also have Peggle and Heavy Weapon, two other excellent Popcap games and they are also upgraded both graphically and gameplay wise! As controversial as it sounds, along with Bejeweled this is possibly the only casual game that is a masterpiece and its physical copy is one of the best games in the PS3 library in my opinion.
