    I love the idea of plotting out my draft board, targeting free agents, cutting dead weight, and juggling the salary cap. But Head Coach 09 just left me frustrated and angry.

    The presentation is better, the graphics better, but the gameplay and goal setting are frustrating, especially when some GMs don't giveThe presentation is better, the graphics better, but the gameplay and goal setting are frustrating, especially when some GMs don't give you much to work with. On one end, you may do the right things for the long term and no one appreciates it, and you end up like DePodesta. The other extreme, you try to make the GM and the fans happy, and you end up like Bill Bavasi. However, it does allow for better scouting tools, extensive personality typing, and allows teams to scout on pro days, workouts, combines, etc. Two steps forward, one step back.     My wife picked this up in the bargin bin for me. I played it for a few days but returned it. The good is that it has about the best off-seasonMy wife picked this up in the bargin bin for me. I played it for a few days but returned it. The good is that it has about the best off-season mode of any EA game to date. The bad is that you don't get to control the players and the graphics are on the level of Madden 95. So what's the point of having a football game if you can't play football?
