NCAA has its flaws, but with improved on-the-field action, recruiting, and presentation (including the option to generate custom stories on your Dynasty), for the first time in years I feel like I'm getting the college experience.
-
Even with our small list of complaints – add sluggish menus and lack of meaningful updates to Road To Glory and TeamBuilder to them – NCAA Football 11 is a triumph. It's the best college football game we've ever played, offering a tremendous experience to gridiron fans.
-
Hardcore Road to Glory fans may not agree with my final statement, but NCAA Football 11 is the best game in the current generation series and is definitely a solid and important improvement on its predecessor. What EA Tiburon/EA Canada have accomplished deserves all the praise I can give.
-
NCAA Football 11 is one of the best football games put out to date, capturing the pep-filled college football atmosphere like no other.
-
Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Still, amid an overdose of pomp and ceremonial broadcast presentation, this simulation provides great football action and enough dream material to give high school kids goose bumps. [Oct 2010, p.84]
-
All-in-all, NCAA 11 delivers on so many levels and is truly an enjoyment this time around.
-
NCAA Football 11 makes a number of big improvements to the way the game plays that makes this one worth checking out if you've been unsatisfied with the lack of improvements over the past few years.
-
Even with some missed opportunities for growth, particularly in the Road to Glory mode, NCAA Football 11 is still easy to recommend to college football fans, and sports fans in general.
-
The complete, $60 package of NCAA Football 11 is the best that the series has produced in some time.
-
NCAA Football 11 brings substantial improvements to core gameplay and presentation but lacks in improvements and additions to game modes. While it isn't without its issues, it is undoubtedly the best NCAA Football game to date.
-
The game will certainly not blow you away by any means, but if you dive in year in and year out you won't be disappointed. I can only hope Madden is this improved because that means that I am in for a great year of virtual football.
-
It isn't without a few flaws here and there, but almost none of them are new (i.e., we've seen them before) and the pros continually make one forget about the cons. That's the mark of a game worth playing, right?
-
Despite the relative lack of new content, the one new feature, Dynasty Online, will keep you coming back for more.
-
While it's certainly not a perfect game, NCAA Football 11 is a great template for EA's future football offerings to build upon.
-
You want depth, well this year you have two huge game play options that will take you deep into 2011.
-
It is as streamlined and pretty as its older brother, plays just as well, and still gives you that unique college ball experience. NCAA Football 11 will not be riding the bench this year.
-
NCAA Football 11 provides an outstanding dynasty mode that is as enthralling as they come.
-
NCAA Football 2011 is slowly creeping into elite sports game territory.
-
A host of gameplay tweaks counterbalance some neglected modes in the latest iteration of EA Sports' college football sim.
-
NCAA Football 11 gives more legs to the college football season with an online component that will capture the affection of diehard fans. Despite some minor flaws, this is a great step in the right direction for the genre.
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKIt's the first import game that punishes you for not being a Yank. [Sept 2010, p.118]
-
There are so many things to love about this game. The unpredictable yet vastly improved gameplay, the slider adjustments that actually work (set the quarterback accuracy to zero in practice mode to see what I mean), the AI playcalling, the new recruiting model, the online dynasty tools, and so on; if all you want to do is play the occasional game with a buddy or play one season with your favorite team, or just relax against the AI and play exhibition games after work then NCAA 11 is an absolute must buy. However, if Dynasty Mode is your thing you are better off either waiting and hoping EA Sports patches the game or simply saving your money for next year.
