TomM.Mar 8, 2007Fast moving game, new moves are fun to watch, there tends to be a lot of button mashing as you really don't have any control over what trick moves you can perform. There doesn't appear to be much control over your created player as far as changing features, like height, weight, facial features, etc. unless that comes later in he game

bobmJul 3, 2008This game has nothing we haven't seen, however it's has zero problems. It's the first game for ps3 since resistence that I couldnt turn off. addicting and an awesome game, if you like the NBA.

AlexK.Apr 18, 2007The series was never my favorite, but it has been ok. This one feels like it sealed the deal on why not to buy it ever again. Although it does look great. Bottom line: promote the artists, fire the designers.

Mr.PokemonJun 26, 2009A pretty sweet game overall. one thing though... these guys jump INSANELY high!!! with the addition of money to buy things maybe it would of been a little bit better.

Jul 28, 2023This one, to me, was the weakest of the franchise. Yes, the graphics are the best in the series, but the energy around this game is dull & kinda lifeless. Nowhere near as electric as the first 3. Certain additions, like the double dunk, does its best to try to keep the attention; but, the traversal up & down the court just comes across as "bleh."

PSM MagazineStill, this is one of the best games on the PS3 at the moment, and given the dearth of titles out there on the console, you can't really go wrong. [Apr 2007, p.80]

EA Canada has made the gameplay tighter and more intuitive, improved the graphics significantly, and got together a killer soundtrack.

An excellent arcade-sports title that knows no equal on next-gen consoles. It's more user-friendly than ever, has a killer single-player mode, and the advent of its online play will only make you keep it cemented into your PlayStation 3 that much longer.
