Motocross fans cannot miss this game, and those looking for two-wheel action should take it into account. A great simulator you can make as demanding as you want.

MXGP The Official Motocross Videogame offers a good game based on Motocross' World Championship license without big boasts, it brings a good experience for those who like this sport, but it's not aimed for the common gamer.

A very deep and plenty of options and game modes motocross simulator, which integrates a very technical control system.

MXGP is a surprisingly intense racing game, thanks to the almost superhuman levels of concentration demanded in order to succeed. It's rough around the edges but good fun once you get to grips with its unique racing style.

There aren't too many Motocross games, so Milestone's effort at creating one is definitely appreciated. Still, while the game is quite complete in its content and the body controls are both innovative and enjoyable, the experience isn't without its flaws. Dated animations, lacking online modes and an overabundance of loading screens drag the title down to a mediocre level.

Small niggles aside, MXGP is a fun, well-presented simulation of an exciting sport, which does for the mud-splattered 500cc bikes what Milestone have already accomplished with their fine MotoGP efforts.

Milestone have delivered a fun and different racer that uses rider momentum in an interesting way. However your enjoyment and, probably, the longevity of the game will depend on your interest in the sport or the racing game genre.

Mud, engine, speed and crashes, all that impresive stuff is what you must be expecting of MXGP, but here isn“t where it is. However, every motocross fan will find an great experience.

MXGP isn't without its flaws, but if you're a motocross fan, you don't have a lot of options. [July 2014, p80]

MXGP is over excessive in its no-nonsense approach. It's a decent, even clinical racing game. It could've been way more exciting and outspoken; now it's a motocross-game without any spunk.

Developer Milestone completely lost sight of the show elements of motocross, which makes MXGP feel kind of lame. A shame, because we're really itching for a new good motocross game.

Come on, good graphics, solid framerate even when 16 riders on screen, solid and deep gameplay if you want it to be... and the Compact version is only 7 freakin' bucks! This is amazing value for money. Once you learn how to go about managing your rider's body to make sharp turns and crazy good looking drifts, you'll be hooked as much as I am. To make it even more fun, I set the rear brake to be my default brake instead of the front one. Try it out this way. Then, the tracks are really rewarding to ride when learnt to ride properly; you need to learn when to let go of the gas and brake, so when you master this along with the right race line for each track you'll get a sense of achievement that you don't get with other arcade racers.
