While your first few moments with Grave Danger might actually fool you into thinking it could be fun -- especially if you're getting some co-op play on -- you'll ultimately be brought back to painful, boring reality.
  2. To be honest, I really, REALLY wanted to like Monster Madness. But annoying voice over, lazy cutscenes with static pictures, bad hit detection and worse attacking issues, I just can't recommend this one.

With horribly repetitive gameplay and awful graphics the choice between this and armageddon is still a close one. [Oct 2008, p.78]
  4. The tired fashion in which the action is delivered is almost as old as the stuttering visuals that blight it at every turn, making this a monster for all the wrong reasons.
  5. As nice as Monster Madness looks, it cannot make up for the lack of fun on offer, 90% of which is mashing the X button.

Monster Madness: Grave Danger would have been one of the weaker PSN games, even at a price of £10 or less, but as a retail game that costs more than three times that amount, it simply can't be recommended.

This game was okay to play but nothing really stands out or really that good

The gameplay is not satisfying but at least the game is really cheap to buy back in the days

the game is pretty cheap now so it's worth to pick up less than rental price
