The tired fashion in which the action is delivered is almost as old as the stuttering visuals that blight it at every turn, making this a monster for all the wrong reasons.
-
As nice as Monster Madness looks, it cannot make up for the lack of fun on offer, 90% of which is mashing the X button.
-
To be honest, I really, REALLY wanted to like Monster Madness. But annoying voice over, lazy cutscenes with static pictures, bad hit detection and worse attacking issues, I just can't recommend this one.

AceGamezMonster Madness: Grave Danger would have been one of the weaker PSN games, even at a price of £10 or less, but as a retail game that costs more than three times that amount, it simply can't be recommended.
-
PSM3 Magazine UKWith horribly repetitive gameplay and awful graphics the choice between this and armageddon is still a close one. [Oct 2008, p.78]
-
While your first few moments with Grave Danger might actually fool you into thinking it could be fun -- especially if you're getting some co-op play on -- you'll ultimately be brought back to painful, boring reality.
