Military Madness will appeal to fans on the genre, however anyone else should may want to consider a more modern title.
-
The simplicity of Military Madness: Nectaris may be a turn-off for seasoned veterans of the strategy genre, but it proves to be a great game for those who are just starting to discover this game style.
-
There is still fun to be had with Military Madness, but the almost 20-year old game definitely feels dated today. Better turn-based strategy games have come along and improved on this basic formula. This PSN version does add multiplayer, though, which increases its appeal and adds a couple new twists.
-
Military Madness: Nectaris almost feels a little like the fast food approach to strategy gaming, although that’s probably too harsh. Let’s just say it feels watered down to an RPG/strat vet like myself and I have difficulty recommending it over other PSN gems that are currently available.
-
Military Madness has the potential to please its remaining fans, but bringing newbies into the fold might be weighed down by the gravity of the game’s antiquated gameplay.
