Jan 17, 2012Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest is one of the smash hits of the holiday season, not just for Move but for family gaming in general. If you haven't added a PS Move to your PS3 then this might be the game to push you over the edge. Whether you buy the game as part of the hardware bundle or just pick-up the title by itself, you definitely want to add this game to your collection. I haven't had this much fun with my PS Move in a long time.
-
Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxJan 2, 2012This is the kind of game that you play for only short periods of time. Partly because of the repetitive nature of the gameplay, but also because of the physical pain it can cause you. Play this for a few hours on end and you will definitely suffer the morning after. [December 2011, p.84]

Nov 13, 2011The final compliment we can pay to the game is this: if George Lucas needs any tips on how to make a PlayStation Move Star Wars game…he need look no further than Medieval Moves for an ideal template.
-
Nov 8, 2011I'm surprised by how much I enjoyed Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest.
-
Nov 7, 2011With a lot of gameplay mechanics taken from Sports Champions, which give a good feeling of playing a hero perfectly mimicking or own moves, this PS Move only game works perfectly well. The playability and accessibility, both excellent, allow the player to quickly dive in this quest, even though it's a little repetitive (the genre tends to be). Visually nice, and funny, Prince Edmund's quest is a good PS Move game.
-
Nov 3, 2011Don't let yourself be distracted by the looks of Medieval Moves: Despite its cute and simple charm, the game is a worthy successor and progress from Sports Champions' gladiator and archery mode.
-
Dec 8, 2011All in all Medieval Moves is not the most original game but as an on-rails shooter type game for kid, it hits the spot.
-
Nov 19, 2011Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest is a surprisingly good title, especially for those who don't mind a little on-rails action in their games. The combat is good, though limited because of some missing moves and the general uselessness of the throwing stars. Multiplayer, while not exactly deep, is fun enough, and the addition of online helps give the game some legs.
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Mar 8, 2012On-rails action adventure surprises with catchy fighting style and plenty of weapons. One of the best titles for PlayStation Move that you can get. [Feb 2012]
-
Dec 30, 2011Thanks to its accessible and fresh gameplay mechanics, Medieval Moves proves to be a well crafted product that will assure an engaging gaming experience to both youngsters and more experienced gamers.
-
Nov 22, 2011If Zindagi makes another quest for Edmund, I hope it's not on rails. That loss of freedom really hurt the experience, and lent significantly to the monotony. Still, I can appreciate the effort and a lot of what is offered here, and ultimately this is one of the better Move games I have played.
-
Nov 17, 2011The game is obviously aimed at more of a family audience where kids can play on their own or with their parents. In that instance, it works wonderfully with little issue. Those hoping that this might be the motion-controlled adventure the hardcore had be waiting for will find little more than a diversion that works well but doesn't revolutionize the medium.
-
Nov 16, 2011A good PlayStation Move game.
-
Games Master UKDec 17, 2011The smashing combat is enormous fun, but the lack of direction will lose you. [Jan 2012, p.90]
-
Nov 16, 2011It's all combat, all the time, with the absence of exploration, puzzles, or a free range of movement making the game feel a bit too basic for its 40 dollar price tag. Still, decent production values and responsive controls make Medieval Moves one of the better motion titles on the system, offering plenty of action but little in the way of interesting challenges or variety. It's fun, but after a few repetitive play sessions, you're going to want to rest those weary bones.
-
Jan 20, 2012Medieval Moves is definitevely entertaining, but it could soon become boring and tedious because of its on rail gameplay.
-
Dec 12, 2011Medieval Moves has a great idea that is not that very well executed. It makes the most of the PlayStation Move motion detection, but its gameplay is too limited and repetitive. Anyway, it is an enjoyable game, but we were expecting more from Zindagi Games, who have mastered PlayStation Move controls.
-
Jan 23, 2012Despite high ambitions and well executed ideas, Deadmund's Quest ends up being an on-rails shooter that's better than most of its ilk, but still doesn't offer anything that will make you want to return to the game after your first playthrough.
-
Jan 3, 2012Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest has a wonderful concept, but like so many motion-controlled games before it, this one's subject to a poorly implemented gimmick-it would've been much more enjoyable with both a regular controller and an open world instead.
-
Jan 3, 2012Medievel Moves: Ghost Castle is a product dedicated to those who fall within the age group that is on its cover.
-
Dec 14, 2011If you are looking for a Playstation Move-game that is fun for the moment, you can do a lot worse than Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest. It could last longer though.
-
Dec 12, 2011Despite some clever uses of the Move controller, Medieval Moves is let down by its low difficulty and at times shoddy presentation.
-
Dec 1, 2011This Playstation Move game has got great sword control but suffers from some other issues with the control and camera. A good buy for kids.
-
Nov 30, 2011A game ideal for kids that showcases the gameplay made possible by the Move controller. Too bad it's way too short and repetitive.
-
Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Nov 26, 2011Despite the many undead warriors, Quest is a kids' game. [Holiday 2011, p.83]
-
Nov 19, 2011Sadly, while remaining quite fun, the end product is a severely problematic and ultimately shallow exercise that covers familiar territory. While it would make a fairly worthwhile holiday game for the kids, the true potential of the game is tragically unrealized, and those looking for that elusively meaty PS Move title will come away disappointed.
-
Nov 18, 2011Deadmund's Quest is a decent attempt at an action/adventure game built specifically for the Move, and doesn't just shoehorn in functionality as a bullet point. That said, it's still not great, and I'm not sure who the target audience is. The gameplay is too hard and complex for the casual crowd, yet the larger adventure is too simple and repetitive for seasoned gamers. Like much of its on-rails action, Deadmund's Quest is a plodding step forward for the Move, but it still has a lot of ground to cover.
-
Nov 18, 2011A good little game that makes involving use of PlayStation Move, elevating a fairly straightforward slash 'em up into something more fun. However, while Zindagi's motion controls excelled in Sports Champions, they are slightly too inconsistent in this adventure setting.
-
Nov 4, 2011Outside of the first-person shooters designed to work with Move, this is one of the better non-mini-game collections, but things start to become increasingly less interesting the farther you progress.
-
Dec 7, 2011It's fun for the young ones, but we were utterly disappointed by this title. It's short, rather repetitive and above all the move controls aren't working as well as they should. Let this one pass.
-
Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaFeb 2, 2012The real shining star of Medieval Moves, though is the bow and, considering the game was developed by the same team behind Sports Champions, this comes as little surprise. We regularly ditched the sword and shield in favour of the bow at every opportunity. [January 2012, p.80]
-
Playstation Official Magazine UKDec 3, 2011The repetitious enemies and rail-line progression make this occasionally thumping adventure little more than an aerobic ghost train. [Christmas 2011, p.109]
-
Nov 27, 2011Medieval Moves looked like a very interesting game. Unfortunately Sony delivers a disappointing game by its repetitive gameplay and a huge lack of freedom. The fighting is very entertaining and works well, but gets old after you played it for a couple of times.
-
Nov 22, 2011Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest loses steam early, resulting in a tepid adventure that annoys more often than it delights.
-
Nov 17, 2011Medieval Moves' downfall is how repetitive it becomes. This is a game clearly designed for kids, yet the sheer exhausting monotony of bashing your way through each level is never rewarded with any meaningful pay-off, just more of the same against a different backdrop.
-
Nov 16, 2011Quotation forthcoming.
-
Nov 16, 2011There's still not enough here to keep a kid, a parent playing with their kid, or childish adults engaged for very long, especially since there's so many better (read: deeper) games out there for parents to play with their kids: the Rabbids games, those various dance contests, or any of Nintendo's minigame collections. Sometimes, keeping it simple can be stupid.
-
Nov 11, 2011As an overall experience, Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest was a lot of fun, but the rigid precision of its motion controls forced me to take more breaks than I would have liked, and the on-rails style gameplay left me feeling bombarded way too often.
-
Play UKJan 9, 2012Another showcase for how boring seemingly every idea is thrown at Move. [Issue#213, p.92]
-
Nov 19, 2011A repetitive game lacking depth and variety. The motion controls are mediocre, especially when compared to Sports Champions or other Move titles. The on-rails nature of the title limits exploration and restricts any movement, leading to a frustrating experience. What little fun there is to be had, starts to fade quickly thanks to difficulty spikes.
-
Nov 18, 2011The motion controls work well enough but this is an unambitious and needlessly simplistic on-the-rails adventure that does nothing to help Move's cause.
