MOH always delivers a great story in their campaigns (unlike COD's boring stories), and this game continued that streak. The sound was simply amazing and graphics looked great. It was disappointing, however, when the game would get really buggy during a busy fight scene. I am also disappointed with the length of the campaign (way too short) and the absence of coop mode. For the multiplayer, I really wish that Danger Close could have done both the SP and MP. Although similar, MP just doesn't have the same great effects as SP. I have lost all confidence in DICE and will not be buying games they develop anymore :( Overall, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives, and I will still be playing the multiplayer for awhile (at least until black ops comes out) Expand

This is easily one of the most underrated games of 2010; given that this is basically 2 seperate games in one package i'd like to rate the SP and MP seperately.

MP, I would give an 8.0; the reason being is that it has a great foundation but it needs tweaking, also there is not quite enough maps, therefore I deduct 1 point for each flaw.

While this is definitely not a game for everyone, if you like military games that require you to at least think about what you're doing, you'll enjoy this. I would HIGHLY recommend combat mission and objective raid multiplayer modes over team assault and sector control. The multiplayer is definitely at its best in combat mission, and objective raid is a close second.

Overall, i'm giving this a user score of 9, simply because I feel that while I would rate the mp 8; it is getting a patch very soon which will fix a lot of the issues; and DICE did listen to some of the user issues for a day 1 patch and added things like muzzle climb and so on, because of this I feel it brings it to an overall 9.

I can't believe all the low scores MOH has received. This is the most fun I have had with a FPS since COD MW. The game looks incredible and the controls are tight. The campaign is a little short; around 7 hours, but it more than makes up for it with a highly compelling and submersive story. The multiplayer is one of the more realistic FPSs out. This game it`s good and well balanced, with an amazing story and the multiplayer it`s fun. The single player campaign is better crafted and this time the character-driven narrative takes a backseat to high-action gun fights, and fast-paced interdictions.

I was very disappointed that it was only single player in the campaign mode. Also the language is extremely vulgar and while my kids love these types of games, I will not let them play it. Other than that the graphics are okay and I would rate this game a 7 out of 10.

And you are definitely not a hardcore gamer if your resume starts with Call of Duty and ends with Battlefield Heroes. There are way too many semi-gamers chiming in on this game that lack any real depth to their gaming experience. This game is exactly what it promised. It is gritty and much more realistic, as realistic as a game can be, it is delivery of this genre. Nothing, that comes to my mind and I have been playing games since the late 70's, comes even close. Call of Duty is an awesome game but lacked the realism you feel with Medal of Honor. The weapons the radio chatter, the environments all make you feel like you are actually there. Now I am not saying that this game is perfect, it does have a few flaws. But they are minor at best. I can say that I am a little slanted in my point of view because I am not a huge multiplayer fan, as you usually end up with a bunch of people who figure out how to cheat and make that part of most gaming a joke. That being said my opinion is based mostly on the single player side of this game, so take my review for what it is worth. But if you enjoy a good solid single player game, go get this one. You not be disappointed. Expand

Let me start of by saying i really enjoyed the single player thought it was fun albeit 6 hours isn't epic by any means. i did not experience any major glitches besides some texture popping here and there maybe i was lucky i guess. Now the reason this game gets a 5 was Dices Lazy attempt at multiplayer there are many things i have to complain about here first and foremost is the lack of customizability. This game is pathetic with it the unlock tree had me laughing when i saw what the higher level unlocks were. One of the upper tier unlocks is the ability to use the enemies start off gun such as the ak47 or m16 which has me saying who gives a shlt since they both have the same stats. There is only like 10 guns in the game with almost little too no ways to customize them im a guy who likes to play with each gun with each attachment to see how it plays and this was not ok especially when the opposing forces guns are pretty much the same gun just reskinned to look different. Dice to me comes off as just lazy 8 maps come on i bought section 8 for 10$ on psn and it had double the maps if not more to choose to play on. In my opinion DangerClose the company who made the single player shouldn't have let dice ruin half the game seeing as the single player and multiplayer should have been done by them instead Dice crapped all over it. all in all i could of **** even more about how the multiplayer is a joke go rent it do not purchase this title if your looking for a game to sink hours on end in. MOH blew me away! Great story in campaign mode,a bit short, but it left me wanting even more. The multiplayer follows the Bad Company 2 style but with an arcade feel that really fits perfectly. I'm really glad to see the MOH franchise return. I can't wait for the next installments, which I'm sure will surpass this great title.

Played on the PS3. Completed the campaign and about 8 hours of online play (all modes, maps, classes).

Vast experience with 1st/3rd person shooters (well over 2000 hours). More of a BFBC2 guy then a MW2 guy. I rate the modes: Campaign: 9 Online: 6 The single-player part of this game is great. The story is compelling. Better and longer then MW2. Better then BFBC2. Graphics

    I rate the modes:

    Campaign: 9

The single-player part of this game is great. The story is compelling. Better and longer then MW2. Better then BFBC2. Graphics (in 720p) are somewhere in between those two games. Graphically lacks the polish of MW2 but the locales are magnificent... on par with Uncharted 2! (the best looking console game in history) It was incredible fighting in the mountains. The story is very linear, straight-forward, no nonsense. No collectibles or anything. Very theatrical. Would make a great movie.

Multiplayer: Where do I start... First, this game WILL get a ton of patches just to get it working right. The lag was horrible. Balance is miserable. Guns have no recoil (therefore, no characteristics, no pros/cons except mag size and damage). Open mic in game but NO MIC in the "Party Lobby". Thats right... when you invite a couple of friends to your "Party" you HAVE to sit in silence until you enter the game. What? Talk about an online game requirement. Come on DICE, are you trying to sabotage the MOH name? Also, no mic between maps. Worst loading times of any game I have ever played.

With one other member in my party, 8 times over 2 hours, we were split to opposite teams when joining a room. In 2 hours, I was booted due to server issues 5 times. Most of these issues will eventually be fixed.

Maps/Modes: The maps look great. More realistic then any other game. MW2 is great in looks but lack some of the detail this game has. The junk in the streets and debris everywhere really add a nice touch. Game modes are all pretty standard. TDM, Rush (Attack/Defend), Capture the Flag, etc.

Gameplay, though, is horrible. Seems like they tried to copy MW2 without just straight riping it off. The problem is, to have a game like MW2, you have to make it just like MW2 or it isn't any good. Plan to be killed instantly upon respawn at least 5 times a match. To be successful you really need to be a camper (sniper or other). Thats the only way to get a positive KDR on a regular basis. As always, if you can get 12 friends together that know what they are doing, you will to better then running with random people.

In the ways this game is like MW2, MW2 does a lot better.

In the ways this game is like BFBC2, BFBC2 does a lot better.

A successful comeback of the Medal of Honor-series, which is far away from reaching the top-ranks of the shooter genre. The short amount of the single-player campaign is really annoying.

Medal of Honor doesn't become the current image of Electronic Arts – probably the most "humane" of all videogame corporations. Danger Close Games' debut reminds of a time when EA was a gloomy assembly line churning out soulless yearly sequels and movie tie-ins.

Medal of Honor is the thinking man's Call of Duty. If you like shooting terrorists but felt the story and campaign of Modern Warfare 2 was too darn stupid, this is the game for you. Mechanically it's close to its competitor, but content-wise it's a class better and more thoughtful. It's an enjoyable if short experience that is bound to leave a lasting impression.
