Feb 24, 2014The love child of Mirror's Edge and Journey, with elements of horror, platform and puzzle games... Master Reboot is hard to grasp in just a couple of words. A unique title that, despite its clunky controls, shouldn't be skipped by any true puzzle fan.

Mar 28, 2014Periodically, a malicious doll-like girl appears to stress-test your sphincter.
-
Mar 18, 2014Master Reboot's premise of a databank that stores the memories of the dead is a strong one, but at times its desire to dabble in horror weaken its exploration-based elements.
-
Feb 10, 2014Ultimately, I’d sum up Master Reboot by suggesting that it has, at its core, a great premise – a premise that is undermined by its own sloppiness in terms of graphics and game play mechanics.
-
Aug 27, 2014The limited budget of an independent developer is clearly on show from start to finish, but there's an earnestness to the game that is really quite appealing. But if "walking simulators" don't do much for you, don't expect to get much out of this either.

Feb 20, 2014While there are glimmers of an outstanding experience, the title’s amalgamation of ideas never quite forms a perfect circuit, making this an interesting experiment that could have been so much more.
-
Oct 29, 2013It’s a good mixture of okay ideas, achieved through some nice presentation and a stellar idea at its heart, which makes it worthwhile if you’re really interested in that, but perhaps a reboot is required to do it justice.

Mar 13, 2014With its creepy atmosphere, Master Reboot sometimes is able to do the right thing. Sadly, there are too many flaws and from a technical point of view the game lacks of polish. Even the diehard fans of the horror genre won't be satisfied by its core gameplay.
-
Feb 14, 2014An exceedingly high-concept explorative puzzler, Master Reboot's subsequent execution leaves a lot to be desired. Hobbling its lofty ambitions with poor presentation, inconsistently designed puzzles and a distinct lack of atmosphere, Master Reboot gives us a peek at a grander design that it sadly fails to realise.
-
Mar 21, 2014This is a mood-laden puzzle game that unfortunately does not reach all the way. The atmosphere gets the player into the mysterious world, but small and big problems very often pops up and lowers the experience. Despite this, I still like Master Reboot, to some extent anyway, and it will be exciting to see what Wales Interactive tinker together next.
