    Omega is a good DLC, thanks to Aria T'Loak: she's a great character and that's a pleasure to help her to re-gain power. Unfortunately nothing in this new adventure will change Shepard's fate and to access it you need a save before the final act of Mass Effect 3, or you'll have to to start the game from the beginning another time. Price is expansive, 1200 MP for 5 hours of fights and dialogue, but Bioware plays clean and settings of Omega are all new, not recycled from Mass Effect 2.

    The focus of this DLC is mainly on combat, which is a shame, since Mass Effect is more than just combat, but it simply doesn't show in Omega. There are a few new enemy types, but that hardly justifies a buy. [January 2013, p.95]

    I enjoyed this DLC. New enemies and fun squadmates. There were some glitchy features but nothing game breaking or that took away from the experience.

    Not my favourite Mass Effect DLC, but I still had fun playing through it. The story revolves around Shepard and Aria (who fans will rememberNot my favourite Mass Effect DLC, but I still had fun playing through it. The story revolves around Shepard and Aria (who fans will remember from Mass Effect 2) trying to retake the Omega space station from the control of Cerberus. The DLC is several hours long and includes two new temporary squadmates. It also introduces several new locations on Omega, and doesn't recycle the ones we already saw in ME2.

    The only downside to Omega is that it focused on combat far too much, with not a lot of anything else to break up the action. The player also has to stay on Omega until the DLC is completed unlike Leviathan which allows you to leave in-between missions. At £11.99 it's also a bit overpriced.    … Expand

And the story itself is quite good, as there was interesting motivation and choices for a Paragon player to go through. However, the greatness of the Mass Effect universe is in its attention to detail and the creation of a world that feels alive and complex. This DLC was lacking in that regard, as if Bioware ran out of the budget required to create a great, or even very good, adventure. Instead, it is mostly combat with sub-par level design and insufficient emotional context to make the combat seem compelling. In addition, although there are some very minor attempts to give a sense of Omega as the unique place it was in Mass Effect 2, this Mass Effect 3 Omega feels quite generic, which is a shame. Compared to the excellent Citadel DLC, this one is almost embarrassingly deficient.

    That being said, if you love the Mass Effect series enough that you want to experience everything it has to offer (like me), then it is worth getting. However, you won't miss much by skipping this one.    … Expand

    "Mass Effect 3: Omega": Average game, it provides an average experience for the player. 4 out of 7. Played it on PlayStation 3.
