Overall i think this is a decent bit of DLC. Id say its better than Overlord but not as good as Lair of the shadowbroker. It lacks the emotional punch and the very good pacing that DLC had, then again it is cheaper in price. It look me about 1 hour and 20 minutes to complete on 'casual' mode. In my opinion the ending is worth seeing and if you have any vested interest in ME3 then you best buy this. There is some nice little set-pieces but the combat gets alittle samey. It becomes more challenging as you do this mission solo so it makes you approach fights differently. Expand

Unquestionably, this is the weakest ME2's DLC. Still, it is fun to play and brings some light over our expectations on the future events in Mass Effect 3. I don't agree with people who say it is a short chapter, though. For me, it had just the right size. On the other hand, the fact that this is a solo mission felt kind of a downer. For me, it had just the right size. On the other hand, the fact that this is a solo mission felt kind of a downer. I really wished I could take the old fellows with me (Miranda, at least. Ah... Miranda). Anyway. But even so, there is a lot to do, investigate and discover - and with a handful of perils along the way. In the end, although less inspired, this is an important part fo Mass Effect canon that cannot be missed. If you enjoyed ME2 and all its extra contents, you should not let this pass you by. Expand

"Mass Effect 2: Arrival": Good game, it provides a good experience for the player. 5 out of 7. Played it on PlayStation 3.

A poor, watered-down substitute that even the most devoted space junkie can afford to skip. [June 2011, p.110]

One of BioWare's weaker DLC efforts. [Issue#205, p.94]

Despite being arguably less than what it could (and should) have been, Arrival probably is just about worth your money. In fact, playing it got me started on another run through both games, so it's done something right. It's testament to a game's strength that even a relatively lacking bit of DLC can have you going balls deep back into its world in the pursuit of alien booty. Not every game could do it, but not every game is Mass Effect.
