The gameplay is a simple mash of buttons, I couldn't even imagine playing this in co-op. There are so many characters that one feels overwhelmed at times with what to choose, and the graphics are disappointing. This all said is a regret because I was looking forward to this storyline (which was the games only plus) and I barely played have the game.

Really didn't enjoy this game. It was boring, game play that was fairly bland and predictable. Fun from the perspective of 'getting to play as my favorite heroes' but not in an engaging way that made you FEEL like a super hero. It just reminded me how frustrating playing these types of 'switch between em' games with a console is.

I love the series and hoping I would love this one. while playing I don't even know where the character I'm controlling is, my enemies are, nor my allies are. The whole thing look confusing. I was gonna give it a chance for at least a few hours before judging it. But after 30 minutes I asked myself, why would I wast my time on this piece of crap? So I stopped.

I played 2/3 of this game (6 hours) but I died three times in a row when the enemy was almost dead. I know I could beat it but because I don't know how many times I'd died and I'm not that interested in this game to know it, I just quit and it's a pity because I was about to rate this game with an 8. About the plot, if you like The Avengers movies you're going to enjoy it because, although this game is before the movies the plot must be based on the comics (like the movies) so it's interesting to see some characters there. About gameplay it doesn't get repetitive because this is not a long game but also because there are many superheroes you can play with. To sum up, it's a good game for the Marvel comics/movies fans. Short and boring compared to the x-men legacy games and the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance

  1. Most of the time when I see a developer change between products, it spells inevitable doom or a watered down shadow of the previous title. In this case, I think Vicarious Visions has taken what Raven started and managed to not only match it but improve upon it.

But ultimately, even though a lot of things about MUA2 aggravate me, the moment-to-moment gameplay of superheroes beating the crap out of robots/mutants/soldiers with fists, mystical hammers, repulsor rays, giant tongues, and what-have-you feels solid and enjoyable.
  3. A solid follow-up to the 2006 release, with great new characters and fusion powers. The game looks very nice and plays well.
