    This game consists of jumping around, collecting things, and simple physics based platforming. Yes you can customize basically everything and build your own levels and whatnot, but after everything it's just jumping and collecting things. I'm 19, and this game is boring. I don't expect anyone past the age of 13 to really enjoy this game.

I bought it right away for hefty price of 60 Euro because I had read all those positive reviews in magazines and all the hype on the internet over the LittleBigPlanet. The campaign was a lot of fun but way too short and too easy. It's fun playing a platformer with 4 people, but the lag that came with it was horrible and some of those people wereThis game was a huge disappointment for me.     A great PS3 exclusive even almost 3 years after its release. There is no real story here because the game really only relies on gameplay: platforming. For a platformer, this game is a hit because of the level designs. The mission creator is also sweet because of its potential and how innovative it is. LBP is a great game to check out and must I say that the Sackboy characters are kind of cute!

    A revolutionary platformer and a joy to play.The user created content is among the very best there is and I recommend this to anyone who wants a bit of fun without shooting or hacking something to death.(Just for something different)

    My personal game experience with it leaves me bored. Why do I give it such a high score? Because my wife and two daughters, age 5 and 4, are enthralled with it. They have had many hours of fun playing together (plays up to four players!). Dressing them up is a big charm for them. It's definitely a chick-game, but I've seen the results of how much it is enjoyed.

    Charming and endearing little sack boys, they're so cute. The platforming is not the best or clever but it's far from entertaining , getting the responsibility to find the stickers add more content to the already lot of fun. Customizing your Sackboy is addictive, and pulls you to combine with all the clothes. Neat

    A platformer with puzzle elements, Little Big Planet has certainly grabbed my attention. The 3D side scrolling style certainly has a charm that many will not find in other games of the same genre.

    It's amazing how this game includes physics in it's simple gameplay. Even though LBP may seem childish at first, it does challenge the player quite heavily, especially towards the end. There are many moments when you have to time the combination of the three, and it's truly fantastic. Level designs are top notch and can have players smiling after solving a complex puzzle. There is a great amount of satisfaction to be had while running in and out of each level, yet there is more to be had with LBP numerous features, such as a level editor and a giant community of literally hundreds of thousands of levels to be downloaded. The characters can be edited beyond your imagination and it's incredibly fun to do so. The level editor may have it's flaws, but can be ignored when most creative ideas can be implemented and made possible. This is a must have for any PS3 owner.    … Expand

    Little credit can be ascribed to this title. Its appearance and overall tone is ugly. It is not for everyone at all, and is very childish and patronising even though it's not aimed specifically at children. They really couldn't have done worse in terms of graphical style, characters and context.     I can see why it is appealing to some audiences, but the visual style and gameplay just wasn't for me. I got about four hours into the game and couldn't carry on. Level editing is surely entertaining, as is decorating your little sackboy, but I will personally still to other platformers.

There is tons of content, being able to create your own platforming levels, play others created, play the levels with friends, and plenty of reason to go back to levels to get some items use missed the first couple times around. Granted, this game is not perfect, and didn't get a ten for a reason. I recommend this game to people of all ages, so don't skip on it because it is not ridiculously violent. This is easily one of, if not the best PS3 exclusive game.… Expand

    Originally I couldn't get into Little Big Planet but after giving it a chance and playing the whole game for the first time I have to admit it's a good game. The graphics and art design is very unique compared to other games on the market and the platforming gameplay is very simple.     It's a nice game, but i'm not into children's games, i prefer shooting than putting a nice little guy new outfits. It's ok but i'm not a fan of games likes these. Big disappointment for me as my very first game for the ps3 to be such a "cute" game.

    Love this game. The concept of the game is undoubtedly ingenious and, in my opinion, perfect - but like every game ever made, the execution is only half as good. This is obvious from when you start the story, so I'll get it out of the way: it's VERY glitchy. A lot like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Perfect idea, glitchy execution). The level creator is great, and how can you hate the sackboy?? No character has been this heartwarming since Yoshi from the mario series.     Greatest Co-Op game I've played in a while. Very innovative, cute, addictive, and fun. Although a bit challenging at times and parts where it may get a bit frustrating. This game is an instant classic, and the platforming is incredible, with great replay value from the levels that can be created by the community, there are some great ones.

    This game provided me with hours upon hours of fun and was the first game to persuade me to get PSN. I had so much fun on this even without online play completing the challenging yet still fun campaign and making my own levels to play with my friends which I then published online.

    One of the best exclusive platforming games of this generation great fun to play with family and friends. To have so many user friendly tools at your hands only enhances the great value this game offers I've never had so much fun collecting stickers before. This game gets a 9.4 from me and the seal of approval.

The create mode is fleshed out, fun and works well in a 2.5D environment, as in 3D the controls for putting materials etc are absolutely horrendous, ModNation Racers proved that. The story mode is great too, so if you can't create and are also offline, not to worry LBPs story mode has you covered.     As an adult gamer i do not like this game. I do not care about level creation. I pay to have that done ahead of time. I look for challenge, skill and precise control in a platform game.(howdy rayman your good stuff.) thats it champs.

    where sonic differed for being fast and cool, sackboy wants to stand out for being... slow, floaty, imprecise, i guess? and OH MY GOD there's a narrator that narrates the game like a children's book, and i'm gonna try to be fair here and saying without exaggerating that about 40% of the time i spent with this game was hearing his voice talk veeery slowly while i pushed buttons to try to skip his monologues. just awful. i get it -- the game is for kids. but kids in the 80s didn't need santa claus narrating video games in order to have fun, and they still don't.    … Expand

The story mode is very dynamic and fun, the 'creation mode' is well-worked, the online mode is just perfect, the graphics are marvelous and that's the only game that makes me to keep my PS3, because I like Nintendo. You won't regret by playing this game. It made me very happy and I want to cry when I think how incredible was that! TheMy favourite game EVER! This game is true masterpiece!     Honestly back in the days when i got this game day one, it was sooo much fun and honestly a big breath of fresh air. I loved it and played it sooo much thanks to the great multiplayer and online.

    Yet again, my review for this got ruined, its an amazing game, with a great deal to do. It has fun and creative charm to it, with an excellent online mode. Not to mention a relatively good creation system.

    Media Molecule has create a game that doesn’t strive to deliver complexes plot points or attempt to create the best possible dynamics at any given point. Instead they’ve done something a lot more ambitious, they have produced a beautiful sand box for players to fill with their imagination. Truthfully the only limit to this game is your own creativity.
    The game is divided in three very different experiences; the first is a ‘campaign’ where you are plunged onto little big planet from your ‘pod’ to experience what can only be described as one of gaming’s most random and spontaneous stories. I have no grievance to the chaos of the story, as a solid plot is not what the game is striving to achieve. Instead you are submerged into beautifully crafted play sets with vibrant areas, beautiful art style and extraordinary focus. Its hard to communicate what exactly brings these levels to life but its perfection can be put down to the sheer amount of love that has clearly been poured into this game at every level of production. As well as simply playing threw these platform levels you can explore to find ‘prize bubbles’ that will unlock new materials, stickers and music that you can then use in your own levels.
    This brings me to the second section of the game, ‘creator mode’. Here you start of with a set of tools that you can use to make anything from a simple car all the way to a vastly complicated Godzilla robot that can fire lava from its nostrils and crush cities. This mode can be as simple or complex as you want it to be, there are good tutorials at the beginning giving you the basics to have fun and more have been added with a patch, there are also countless publicly made tutorials that can teach you everything from making a trap door to how to make your own killer shark. When you have made something you’re proud of, you are then given a major opportunity and perhaps the most ambitious aim of media molecule yet, you can publish your work to the world.
    The final section of the game is the LBP community, with a few simple clicks you can publish your level so that the entire world can play it. A robust rating system will give you both feed back and praise and your work can easily rise up and even be placed on the world stage. The possibilities of this feature theoretically creates an infinite amount of content and although not all of this is worth playing the sheer concept of how much fun there is out there is mind-boggling.
    There are other features of this game that make it special, sack boy being one of them. This little sack of joy doesn’t utter a single line threw out the entire game, however the amount of communication portrayed threw his moment and facial expressions is staggering. He is truly one of the most loveable characters you’ll meet in a game, standing along side Sony mascots like Ratchet or Spiro. Another astonishingly impressive feature of this game is its music, with a large library of songs from the supper alternative band of ‘Battles’ to the Mexican band ‘‪Café Tacvba’, there is truly a wealth of interesting and appropriate music woven into the identity of this game.
    Last but not least is the inclusion of multi player. At any time, local and online friends can jump into your game. Hosting up to four players per party at any time the presents of others truly enriches the experience further, giving you access to new areas, multi player focused puzzles and games.
    Little Big Planet is a truly special game that doesn’t come around every generation. There really isn’t a target market for it as anyone with a soul can enjoy the humor, thrive with the creativity and have a little big load of fun.    … Expand

    Little Big Planet was a fun little game. And when i say little, I mean it, because it was very short. It took about 3 to 4 hours to finish the game. The Co-op is great, the levels are great and the soundtrack was amazing. The biggest downfall of this game is how short the game is, but it leaves you wanting more.

    I was shocked to see the user score for this game. This is not the score it deserves. An infinite playground of innovation and fun with creative potential rivaled only by its sequel certainly deserves better. I'm not a fan of insulting opinion, but this is just wrong.

Little Big Planet lacks good control which makes the game obnoxious to play if you're used to quality platforming from say...Nintendo for example. Creating good, detailed levels requires a certain depth of understanding of all of the tools. To my surprise, there is a use of gates. By gates, I mean AND gates, NOT gates, and OR gates that are used in electronic programming. There are many engineering and physics principles that are involved in the creation of your level. Yet it is still very user friendly and anyone can build a fantastic level if they put their mind to it.
    The potential of this game is virtually limitless; you really can create anything your mind imagines. It takes patience and problem solving skills to perceive how every creating tool works and how to apply it to the project. As a result, even after you beat every developer made level in story mode, the adventure continues when you build levels of your own and share them with the rest of the gaming community.     It's a really cute game, that is especially fun with a friend, but the unique design made it hard for me to play. It might just be my vision, but it was really difficult distinguishing what was in the foreground, and the background. Something about the design made depth in the game very confusing. I would recommend playing this game on a screen that is rather close to you.

    Amazing game and great fun. It's simple yet can be complicated or you can make it complicated yourself. Great different themes and music choices throughout the game. I can't understand the low user score. One of the best PS3 exclusives. 10/10

    Definitely one of the most iconic franchise for the play station and a masterpiece. I will never forget all the joy and memories playing with friend. It's been 10 years since its release and its still fun and full of creativity. I really hope MM and Sony revive this franchise in the future #save littlebigplanet.

    I'm surprised to see that the user score is so low. It's the last great platformer, the first great PS3 exclusive, and one of the greatest games of all time. This game did have some very awkward controls that needed getting used to. The greater community is remarkably active in 2020 with 150-400 players online at most times.

    This is an excellent platformer, lots of fun and very kid friendly.

    The visuals are cute and engaging, the gameplay is challenging without being abusive or offering too steep a learning curve. The level designer allows you to customize your own levels and that creates immense content from other gamers who created and shared those levels. Overall, excellent game.

    LittleBigPlanet is very big fun! The presentation of this game is cute and addresses both young and mature players. You play around with cool physics in a lively world full of puzzles and secrets. The multilayer improves the value of this game enormously. Beautiful!

    An amazing game, i managed to play this game on my ps3 and it was extremely good, but, when i was like 8 or something, i rejected it, now i regret doing that, so, i highly recommend this game if you want to play it for the first time or to experience nostalgia!
