This game is a decent game, it's not anything mind blowing nor is it anything that makes you regret playing it.
Story: You play as Sackboy, our protagonist from the other games. In the introduction level, a lightbulb called Newton kidnaps Sackboy and takes him to his home planet called Bunkum. Newton explains to Sackboy that his mom, Nana Pud wants to open a teabox that contains entities called the "Titans", they brought chaos upon Bunkum long before the Negativitron from Littlebigplanet 2 began his reign of terror, soon after 3 heroes came and defeated the Titans, they were Oddsock, Toggle, and Swoop. Newton informs Sackboy that he has to stop Nana Pud from releasng the Titans, soon after once Sackboy infiltrates Nana's home, Nana Pud tells Sackboy that Newton lied to him and that he wanted the Titans. Once he opens the teabox, the Titans posses him and he begins to steal all the creativity from the world. Sackboy is tasked by Nana Pud to stop Newton and release the heroes that once saved Bunkum. Eventually Sackboy and his friends do successfully do so and defeats all the Titans. He gets sent back to Craftworld along with Toggle, Oddsock and Swoop.
The story is decent to me, I don't like how they just sent Sackboy to another world for the sake of sending him to another world. The characters are okay.
Gameplay: You traverse many worlds in Littlebigplanet 3. The gameplay in each of them I find interesting, Sackboy and Oddsock being the best. Sackboy has to explore levels and complete them. Oddsock is fast paced and focuses on traversing as fast as you can. The gameplay is enjoyable.
The PS3 version of Littlebigplanet 3 is also practically almost the same as the PS4 version. But there are some noticeable differences and some exclusive things to the PS4.
Graphics: The PS4's graphics are obviously better than the PS3's, this both has its pros and cons. For PS4 players, they can play the game at a stunning 1080p 60 fps, providing a beautiful experience in levels. The problem here is when it comes to PS4 players creating levels, all levels can be played on a PS3 or PS4 console, but this comes with issues. PS4 players have more access to better graphics and can make their level look amazing, but this inconveniences PS3 players due to how this causes low frame rate at times. Though, this doesn't happen with all levels. The PS4 is superior in terms of graphics.
Exclusive Features:
Trailers: For levels, PS4 players can create a trailer for their level, these are most commonly used for movies or adventure maps, PS3 players aren't missing out on trailers, since they don't affect too much of the game.
Lesser severe glitches: The PS3 version of Littlebigplanet 3 seemingly has fewer and less severe glitches than the PS4. This does not mean it is bug-free however, I've experienced a glitch where all my story levels reset and got locked, my prizes were still there, however I had to beat every level again. It's unlikely you'd get a profile corruption on this version. The bugs and glitches are less severe on the PS3 than the PS4.
Due to the server shut down of Littlebigplanet 3 PS3 Edition, then this unfortunately drops this rating to a 6/10. After you complete the story there is almost nothing to do in the game, Littlebigplanet has always thrived off of community levels, and it is sad to see a major player finally leave.… Expand
