The open world is huge, but so huge it's a little overwhelming. Nevertheless, it's still fun. The game fails with the actual levels. They seem more puzzle-like. Between each level, you have to come back to the Batcave to fix some problem that appears at random. There's one level where Batman gets brainwashed by Brainiac for no clear reason, and you have to bring him back to normal. ThisThe open world is huge, but so huge it's a little overwhelming. Lego Batman 2 and Lego Marvel Super Heroes also seemed to put more effort into the open world part than the levels, which is not good since the levels make up most of the game. It seems clear that Treveller's Tales is going in a different direction with the Lego games. Overall, a disappointment. Expand

The lineair setup makes Lego Batman 3 feel like a step backwards, as we played around in a big open world in part 2 and in Lego Marvel Super Heroes. But still the humor and love for the comic history behind it, makes this a very charming game. The quality is high and there are a lot of items to collect.
