Legasista

Legasista sometimes feels a bit repetitive and I never felt emotionally invested in the story (despite the charming and even emotional theme). But with plenty of depth, nicely drawn characters and enemies, solid control, and that aforementioned "addictive gene," there's a lot to like.

Legasista is a dungeon that is begging to be explored by anyone who likes to grind it through trap-filled levels.

There's a lot to explore and a huge amount of potential stat tweaking, but it would have been nice to get a proper explanation on how Legasista's systems fit together.

Legasista is a strange thing with an equally strange name, full of great ideas that almost always come hogtied to an opposing force. It's a game's game, but that's all it can ever be. A lukewarm story will do that to you. While the systems in place promise an endless descent into addictive, loot-driven madness, it's just too hard to prop up a game that's been tempered with bean sprout inspiration.

Action RPG fans will have a very good time with Legasista. There's enough hardcore elements with the stat tracking and upgrading to keep any hardcore RPG players busy for a very long time. If you're looking for a quick RPG to play in between different game sessions, you may have just found your game.

Despite following a basic format of dungeon exploration, Legasista provides enough additional components to give players a fulfilling experience. Though the feeling tends to wear thin over longer play sessions, it feels good surviving through dungeons with a pocketful of treasure knowing that your preparations paid off.

With a story that's both sweet and silly, a varied dungeon that can be played in short chunks, and a deep customization system available for those who are interested, this is a crawler that's worth checking out.

Legasista is a game for people who enjoy level grinding for the sake of level grinding. It tailors its experience entirely toward that niche, often to the detriment of everyone else.

Speaking frankly, there are certain levels of expectation associated with any given piece of hardware, and games which don't live up to that standard will inevitably suffer. Legasista is a solid title that knows what it wants to be and hits that target... It's just that the bullseye isn't hanging in the right place.
