Such a fun and ambitious game. Its not perfect by any. means and honestly the length really drags on for me. But the immersiveness really brings out the best in this title.

Pretty interesting game with good acting and plot. Gameplay was fairly good overall and story kept me engaged. Graphics are a bit poor, but the facial animations, voice acting, and story make up for it.

I honestly didn't expect myself to love this game so much. It usually isn't my cup of tea, neither the setting nor the gameplay. But this one just played out so well.

Definitely a unique game but not for everyone. Recommended for people who like detective stories and dialogue.

Dennoch halte ich L.A.

Played it in 2016 when it wasn't even an idea for the game to be remastered for PS4...
It's a game for those who like to think, solve riddles and enjoy the '40s

However i´ve enjoyed driving thru streets of Los Angeles in beautiful vintage cars.
I know, that this game is intended to be slow progressing, but honestly, first half of this game is boring. I mean the story line. Fortunately there are some side "cases" which you can solve before arriving to the crime scene. I appreciate this.

In the end i must say, that i´ve enjoyed this slightly "different" game. It wasnt the best game i´ve ever played, but it was pretty decent. I´ll give it 8/10

For me L.A Noire is an underrated game. It has fantastic story and presentation. Makes you feel like a real detective. AFAIK they used motion capture tech for the face expressions and it look nice. Atmosphere is also nice. Cars, musics, clothes, hats; everything suit to the world well. Must play if you love the Noir theme. Hard to find an equivalent.

"L.A. Noire" is a great homage to Hollywood Film Noir movies. It combines detective work with the open-world design of "Grand Theft Auto". The recreation of 1940's L.A. and the technology used for motion capture are quite amazing. Gameplay is very immersive, but it does eventually get repetitive due to the cases being resolved in a similar pattern. But the overall experience is unique."L.A. Masterpiece. Great graphics, atmosphere, sound, gameplay. Very engaging greatly written storyline. The atmosphere of this time period is so well shown in this game. I really feel so immersed in it. The ending gave a lot to think. Even after replaying a case for the 3rd time it still feels like there's something new. Audio and video only help the story.

Personally I give L.A. Noire a 10 out of 10 to "balance out the score" because too many people on this site give it a 0 or 1 out of 10 for no good reason, which is especially galling since 0's should only be reserved for games that just flat-out don't work functionally, and 1's should be reserved for games that should never have been made in the first place due to an insulting amount ofPersonally I give L.A. The game is probably from a more pragmatic and non-biased standpoint more like an 8 out of 10 (Great Game) for everything it does well, and at WORST a 6/10 (Slightly above Average) bogged down by a bit of repetition but held up by some excellent facial animations and acting (not just voice-acting, but real ACTING). But all in all it is still probably one of my favorite games personally, and is a required MUST-BUY for all gamers unless all you like is pulse-pounding action (which is not always a bad thing). For detailed reviews on the game's specific merits and content I recommend the Angry Joe Show review as well as some of the other non-mainstream ones you can easily find on youtube. Look past the glitz of technical achievements, richly designed sets, ostensibly interactive environments, and you will see the real L.A. Noire – a vapid adventure with a hole-ridden plot, a boring unsympathetic hero, and rough stitches in places where content should be.
