    i really wish they could come up with a new kingdom hearts game instead of rehashing the old ones over and over and over. i mean they have a whole universe to play with, new protagonists are not out of the question

    I'd like to go off and say right at the start that Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite video game series, I am not reviewing the games as they are, I will, however, review the porting job done in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, which is awful. It definitely feels like they didn't test this game, because this game is riddled with bugs. I've played (and still own) the original Kingdom Hearts 2I'd like to go off and say right at the start that Kingdom Hearts is one of my favorite video game series, I am not reviewing the games as they are, I will, however, review the porting job done in Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, which is awful. It definitely feels like they didn't test this game, because this game is riddled with bugs. I've played (and still own) the original Kingdom Hearts 2 FM, and I know that it shouldn't take 5 seconds to go into a drive form, or I know I should be able to spam the reaction command on the final boss. Really, I feel like the only reason why this game is so much buggier than the original's is the fact that the game isn't installed to your HDD, instead it's being played off of the blu-ray, which blu-rays have notoriously bad load times compared to DVDs. It takes so much more time to load into another level and "anything" in this game, it's shockingly bad. And somehow, they managed to make the load times worse than the Japanese release of this game (2.5), which is an amazing feat in itself.

    In other words, I love this game, but I hate this port, it's awful, just because of crap load times.    … Expand

    Birth By Sleep is fine, but Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix is ABSOLUTELY NOT the way for a first-time player to experience it. There's a **** difficulty spike right at the end that's just as difficult as a lot of the side content that requires extra WEEKS worth of grinding your own skill and Exp/levels, a perfect example of games with Exp and level systems being lazy ways to "balance"Birth By Sleep is fine, but Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix is ABSOLUTELY NOT the way for a first-time player to experience it. And for a game that already FAR overstays it's welcome, especially on repeat playthroughs, I wouldn't recommend this as a first play on my worst enemy, and it's a **** crime that Final Mix is the only way to get 2 anymore unless you want to buy a PS2.… Expand
