The game, as a fighting game, is quite limited, but it's a concept created to please a certain audience that will definitely enjoy the experience.

After seeing gameplay of it over a year ago from quite a small YouTuber, I really did not have high hopes. I even thought it was a fan made game, seeing as I thought that was the only plausible reason I'd see Naruto and Goku fighting in the same game.

Turns out, the combat (once I was used to it mind you), I actually genuinely love. There is a certain skill to it, and learning the combos and timings of each characters is extremely satisfying. A tactic I like to use with Naruto is to do O+UP to send a shadow clone running towards the enemy, then R1+O to activate Sage mode and unleash my combos, dealing heavy damage. There is just a level of satisfaction you get from pulling them off.

Only bad thing I will say is, some characters seem a bit over powered, and can also shoot of their specials at times seemingly endlessly.

If you are a massive fan of fighting games and anime, I'd advise you pick this up immediately. If no to both of them, then I would definitely steer clear.

Being objective, gameplay is not particularly good. It ends up being quite repetitive and there are technical problems that should have been solved.

That being said, I still like the game too much. I had played the other two Shonen Jump video games on Nintendo DS, and I found exactly what I wanted in this one. The opportunity of fighting with these characters is simply unique.

The game was fortunately released in Europe some years later, though I decided not to play it again because I had played it quite recently. Maybe some day...
