Iron Man is a surprisingly deep game with some rough edges. If you can manage to get a grip on the controls and combat you will quickly grow to enjoy what the game has to offer.
  2. If you can get past Iron Man’s head-scratching learning curve, what are you left with? A game that’s far from perfect, but still better than a lot of movie and comic book tie-ins that have come before ( *wink* Catwoman).
  3. Good idea, bad performance. Even for the greatest fan of the comic, it will be hard to enjoy the game.
  4. The chaotic levels are challenging, but they become far too repetitive far too quickly.
  5. Whilst the game has some nice features in it, the overall gameplay is far too repetitive and boring.

Frustrating and unpolished, it smacks of a rushed movie tie-in. [Issue#92, p.92]
  7. Iron Man has its occasional bright spots, but the gameplay fluctuates between monotony and frustration. With technical meltdowns, unsightly visuals, and a jumbled plot line, there are more than enough reasons to leave this junker on the scrap heap.
  8. Iron Man's high-flying new adventure is hindered by erratic difficulty and repetitive level design.
  9. After the movie turned out to be such good fun, the game landed with a heavy thud, failing to offer anywhere near the same level of enjoyment.

You know what? The clout and pull that a character like Iron Man has is enough to do that just by READING the title. The rest of this game, particularly the controls, and I mean, the controls here, are atrocious. I love aviation games. I am really good at them. So I get the whole up is down and down is up thing. That doesn't excuse this game and it's terrible control scheme. The only other thing that might back these people up on this awful game and the control scheme is, well, the PS3 was a pretty new system at the time. So they might have had trouble rushing this game out(as all Licensed and tagged to a movie type games are) while using this new, at the time, system and everything that goes with it. Too bad they don't just take a cue from Rocksteady and take a licensed character and make an "un-licensed" game. What I mean is, not have an Iron Man game be attached to a movie, the way Arkham Asylum did. Please, consider it, oh Marvel Comic Gods. Please. Full Review »

Worst game ever, with no great combat and dull story. Also Iron Man could have had more of a story
