This game is more like the Japanese version of Guitar Hero without the need for actual equipment. Gameplay is more of responding to button ques with alternating button pressing and actually holding down the specified button for a period of time. The tracks are from the absurdly famous vocaloid in Japan known as Hatsune Miku and personally, are annoying to listen to. I can see many music games going the route that this game is going by only using the regular controller as your way of hitting notes but that's the furthest I can say for this game. There's some unlockables but not much else. If you love this kind of thing, it's best to skip the asking price and just buy the actual music tracks. Or, even wait for a $20 sale type deal. But yea, I played this games and saw the appeal, but for people looking for a good music game to rock to, this isn't for everyone. Expand

If you can get over the Japanese-focused presentation or if you're a fan of Hatsune Miku, you'll find a music game that does entertain, and, on the top of that, is accessible and fun.

Kudos to Sega for the massive risk they took on releasing Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F out here. It's a great deal of fun for music game lovers, and features a ton of stuff that vocaloid fans will love.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F will of course particularly appeal to J-Pop fans, but it is actually a very good rhythm game for any gamer.
