It's cool to see how the character models and graphics have changed through the years, and makes the entire series feel less like a movie game cash-in, and more like a separate journey for Harry that went alongside the films and books. It was touching in an odd way and a nice farewell to the game franchise. After all is said and done though, I'm still glad to see it end. It's still a way to sell a video game with Daniel Radcliffe on the cover, and unfortunately no touching montage is going to change that.

A decent enough wand-shooter that represents a wasted opportunity for both Move and the Harry Potter series. [Oct 2011, p.103]

It is a shame that the game is not as good as the movie it is based on. This is a simple and repetitive shooter that offers little incentive for those players who don't follow the adventures of the young wizard.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is maybe okay for shooter fans, but I bet the main part of Potter fans would have liked a game full of riddles, sneaking and maybe a skill system. There is no variation, no freedom and not enough content to satisfy.

Part II has new characters and new enchantments, but overall the game falls short of all expectations.

Factor in the uncontrollable camera and this third-person shooter is firmly mediocre. [Oct 2011, p.85]

In conclusion, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 is another movie game that is cursed.

Maybe I'm just too much of a Harry Potter fan to look for any flaws in this game. Some people complain that it was too repetitive, but what they don't understand is that its a war game. Of course its going to be repetitive. Full Review »

While the Harry Potter franchise has had its share of successful video game adaptations, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 onWhile the Harry Potter franchise has had its share of successful video game adaptations, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 on PlayStation 3 is a notable exception. Unfortunately, this game falls short in several areas, making it a disappointing addition to the franchise.

First and foremost, the gameplay is clunky and unresponsive, making it difficult to enjoy the experience. The controls feel sluggish and unintuitive, which can make even the simplest of tasks a chore to complete. Additionally, the graphics are lackluster, and the game suffers from numerous technical issues, such as frame rate drops and glitches.

The storyline also feels rushed and incomplete, which is a letdown for fans of the series who were looking forward to reliving the final battles of the Harry Potter saga. The lack of character development and the absence of memorable moments from the books and movies make the game feel like a watered-down version of the story.

Overall, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 on PlayStation 3 is a disappointing game that fails to live up to the expectations set by its predecessors. While die-hard fans of the series may find some enjoyment in revisiting the world of Harry Potter, this game is likely to leave most players feeling underwhelmed and unsatisfied.
