    This is an instant 10 / 10 from me. This is the best PS3 game I have played in current gen
    I hope R* are proud of themselves because I am. The game features 3 main characters: Michael, Franklin and Trevor. They all have their own personalities which I like. The story is epic - I won't spoil it don't worry :D

    Don't get me started on Online! It's amazing! I can already think of 1,000 words to describe it: awesome, endless, fun, exciting, free, open, realistic and a lot, lot more. Online is what most people crave for when they get GTA V, but I see why. It's just so fun! It's addictive, but in a good way, not repetitive at least. But there is only 1 thing I don't like about online: people who just troll. It may seem too much to ask them to stop, it may be funny at first, but gets frustrating over time, most servers you can hear young children playing this game. It's not bad, but it's really awkward. People drive into you for no reason? Sniping you and killing you even if you don't have a bounty on your head? It's not like they are going to get rewarded for that! But that's not going to stop me from scoring 10 / 10 because it's just THE BEST.

    It's pretty much better than Call Of Duty by over 9,000 miles. Recommended for anyone WHO ARE OVER 12    … Expand

    (1) a sandbox should allow you much more freedom than this. For instance, why on earth can't you just rob a store, a feature which previous GTA games had?!?!     (2) getting and losing a couple of wanted stars is too easy, and the police can spawn literally in the middle of nowhere; there's no point in going in the middle of the forest and/or to use a suppressor. This is actually quite unrealistic.

    (3) they should never have released GTA online before it could work properly. This is a shame for such a hyped product.

    That said, it is a great game, and it is most definitely worth its price!! But Rockstar SHOULD take into consideration these things when designing the next title in the franchise.    … Expand

    Grand theft auto took a leap into a different type of story and character development, playing 3 different characters kind of took me out of the story all together, and after I started playing online, I never felt the need to go back, even after 3 months. Still, awesome gameplay, and environment, nothing can touch rock star in that regard.

    I love grand theft auto V it improves on every aspect of Grand theft auto IV. Shooting mechanics are better than before, the shooting is somewhat improved. My favorite part of grand theft auto V is the story they have great characters some are Trevor, Lamar, Franklin have different personalitys and great in their own ways. You will probably never get bored Los Santos have many things to doI love grand theft auto V it improves on every aspect of Grand theft auto IV. Shooting mechanics are better than before, the shooting is somewhat improved. My favorite part of grand theft auto V is the story they have great characters some are Trevor, Lamar, Franklin have different personalitys and great in their own ways. You will probably never get bored Los Santos have many things to do like watching a movie or bike riding or getting a five star rampage with the cops. The online in my opinion is not very fun and i get really bored but if you play with your friends it could be fun for a while. The graphics has improved so much making Los santos fell alive more than Liberty City.     grand theft auto games get an instant 8 out of 10 just for all the fun you can have from messing around in them, but characters and story of this game are awesome. Trevor, Michael and Franklin are some of my favorite video game characters especially Trevor. the missions are a lot of fun for the most part and I actually wanted to play through the story unlike grand theft auto 4 where I justgrand theft auto games get an instant 8 out of 10 just for all the fun you can have from messing around in them, but characters and story of this game are awesome.     This game is amazing, they fixed most of the problems we had with GTA IV.
    What I liked about GTA V
    1.Rockstar added some of features from the previous GTA's, and other games created 2. Even though they brought back the arcadish driving, it seems better because the car physics aren't boaty like GTA Iv's. I mean the driving GTA V may not be realistic as IV's but it's feels better. 3.    This game is amazing, they fixed most of the problems we had with GTA IV.
    What I liked about GTA V

    5. The NPC's, and the characters, are very responsive.
    6. The interactions.
    7. The customizations with the cars.
    8. The weapons being customizable.
    9. The online, was finally something could enjoy without role playing without police crew. Unlike GTA IV where you just drive around in a freemode bored, you actually get stuff done.
    10. The new LS looks amazing, and the whole entire map is huge and beautiful .
    11. The updates

    There are few things I didn't like about GTA V.
    1. Not being able to enter buildings.
    2. Maybe I liked GTA V more than San Andreas including the map, but they could of added SF LV.
    3. The launch of the online, even though it wasn't as bad as battlefield 4's, they should of seen this coming.

    My conclusion:
    GTA V has become my favorite GTA. I really hope rockstar, keeps up the good work. I know little bit of San Andreas fanboys wanted a San Andreas clone, (As usual) but this rules. I still like SA, but I like V more.    … Expand

    Let me start off by saying that I don't believe that any game, no matter how good it may be, deserves a 10/10. Every game has its flaws and GTA V is one of them, mainly in it's tri-tiered ending that had many gamers a little disappointed despite the notion that there was an aspect of 'choice' throughout that would dictate where the game would end up. While the endings are not awful, the two non-canon options just seem a little anti climatic after everything you've been through. That being said, GTA V is another home run for Rockstar and fans of the open world game that is celebrating it's fifth entry (depending on how you count) into the series. Complete with x-rated sex and toilet humor that you've come to expect from these games, GTA is ripe with violent sociopaths, humorless women, side splitting social commentary, and just good ol' fashioned chaotic fun. The graphics have been upgraded since its last entry and looks great on both 360 and PS3, with a stunning interpretation of modern day Los Angeles and its surrounding country and marinas. With a myriad of side quests, adventures and activities that will be sure to keep you occupied for hours, GTA always has something to keep coming back to. Multiplayer is a lot of fun as well, and with a handful of friends, buyable properties, vehicles, clothing and free updates every so often, is another sure fire reason to buy this game. Most certainly another tremendous entry into the Rockstar catalogue, if you haven't played it yet I strongly encourage you to go out and buy it immediately.… Expand

That's not counting the stunt jumps! the race's! the rampages! and just messing around with cheats! now Ps3 VS Xbox360 the only real difference is Ps3 has slightly better graphics. the voice acting is amazing! the gameplay is amazing! all around it's just fun to play! not that many glitches since recent updates. we need some single player DLC. cause after all the side missions and everything there's only the online portion to play! which is so freaking clunky. it keeps disconnecting! rock* needs to fix this! the game has been out for 6 to 7 months already! its so annoying cause i love the online. but besides the fact. overall this is one of the best games ever!!!… Expand

    Why did I give this game an 9, whilst others give it a 10? Because I did greatly enjoy the game, with a decent story and good writing, combined with a massive open world with a lot of mini-games. However, this game did have it's problems, like all games. Online was a mess at launch, for a while it did not even work, but is playable now. Here, there are still good characters, just not as interesting as GTA 4's. Getting past that, and that the uniteresting characters where minor, is the fact that the game is very good. If a okay storyline and decent characters with a few bland characters is enough to keep you interested in open world mayhem with tons of side actvities (hunting, rampage, and more) then by all means purchase this game. My final verdict is exactly what the average critic's verdict is, a 9.7/10.… Expand

    Graphics:The graphics are great in this game on of the best I have ever seen in this generation.

    This game rocks! GTA 4 sucked. This game is every thing GTA should have been. Characters are great story is awesome and the gun fights are like modern warfare. I love this game and have played it several times all the way through. From being able to choose your close to the color of your ride this game gives you the freedom that was denied in GTA 4.     Classic game recreated with new characters over a giant landscape. This third person crime game is fantastic fun. Follow three different characters or create your own via multiplayer. You wont be disappointed with this purchase.

This game has sold over 2 billion copies and for a good reason, the story, the characters, the world, the graphics, the opportunities and the missions are all as good as it gets. I really liked the changes to the franchise like the 3 similar characters and the stock market opportunity to name a few, but it just felt a little dispositions buying all these properties, without having the chance to manage or defend them, this is what I think this game needs, to be even better. The controls are better in other similar games, but to completely change the controls, would be to big a risk, still I think they opportunity be better.
    I give this game 9 because it is not my favourite game on the PS3, it could have been better in terms of new thinking and controls, and the multiplayer is not working properly.    … Expand

    Amazing game for new generation

    I have played all of the Gta serious but Gta V brings something to the serious as you can play a campaign with different characters instead of one. The online play is incredible and the graphics are amazing but sometimes the servers disconnect us from the game and we time out of Gta online but it is still one of the best games out on the new generations    Amazing game for new generation

    GTA 5 is without a shadow of a doubt Rockstar's best GTA titled. Everything Rockstar touches turns to gold and this game is no exception. I loved it. I'll mainly be focusing on the Storymode side of the game. As I haven't played enough (nor do I plan to) of the online missions. But regardless the story and characters of GTA 5 are so great Trevor and Michael are great characters. FranklinsGTA 5 is without a shadow of a doubt Rockstar's best GTA titled. Everything Rockstar touches turns to gold and this game is no exception. I loved it. I'll mainly be focusing on the Storymode side of the game.     The game was great, story, graphics and most important the gameplay, but why 9 and not 10 is because it was not hard to complete. Missions are prety easy, especialy the last one as it should be the hardest. GTA san andreas had few hard missions, Rockstar should have done the same thing in this game aswell.

    Gameplay - side quest and story missions are optional and thats a good thing but! in order to unlock certain guns and other assorted unlockables you need to progress through the story which is ok by me.
    you get the hang of handling vehicles such as helicopters, planes,ATVs etc.. and its always exciting!
    Shooting is great with different styles of aim. Aside from first person (ps4 only) it just feels great and works.
    They're many side activities along with side quests being sports to overall mostly competition games against A.I.

    Sound - is amazing from civilians random **** talking to intense explosions and guns blazing action sequences sound is superb!

    Re-playability is High, Especially GTA ONLINE!
    soooo many missions and unlockables it could have been a separate Game almost!
    Its everything you love about GTA V but with friends and actual Customization of everything you want your character to be!    … Expand

    The best aspect of GTA V is probably the story mode. I cannot believe how much I loved it. The missions were incredible, varied and interesting. The characters were definitely the best, all 3 are a joy to play as, everyone has their own personality and way to act. The lenght of the singleplayer is perfect. I don't have any flaws with the story, the multiple endings are done in spectacular fashion (specially ending C).

    However, the multiplayer didn't really catch me as much as others, but I don't think it's fault of the game. It did have any problems at start, but it eventually regained all of what there was promised. Personally, I didn't get too involved in the multiplayer as i got in the singleplayer.

    I do not come often to GTA V now that I beat the story, because it was so good that I don't want to play to other game modes that aren't as good as the singleplayer. The grade I'm giving is about my opinion, and my opinion only, hopefully there are people that feel the same as I when I play this game.    … Expand

    El mejor juego que he jugado en PS3 gráficamente, es una maravilla visual, la historia esta muy bien innovando con tres personajes principales, aunque se queda un poco corta a mi gusto en cuanto a duración. El multijugador es enorme, si no estas haciendo carreras, estas haciendo el tonto con tus amigos, entre muchas otras cosas que ofrece, aparte todos los Dlcs/Actualizaciones han sidoEl mejor juego que he jugado en PS3 gráficamente, es una maravilla visual, la historia esta muy bien innovando con tres personajes principales, aunque se queda un poco corta a mi gusto en cuanto a duración.     The game has no limits to what you can do and for me the best GTA game ever made. While you play with the 3 characters, there is just so much to do. The story is well placed all along the game and it just never disappoints.

The story is a load of ass, but the three characters and their development over time is very entertaining, and unlike previous games in the series, the missions don't become boring and repetitive throughout the story. If you are one of those people who think this game is about stealing cars, hitting grannies and get laid with hookers, please, give it a try again. You have fun from minute 1 to hour 100. You'll spend hours sometimes just walking around, admiring the landscapes, hikking the mountains. I don't even know how the console doesn't crash with so much detail in this world, the graphics, lighting, those beautiful skies (probably the most realistic ones I've seen in a game, screw The Witcher 3). And that was on a PS3! Probably there are too many useless searchs (pieces of letter, nuclear waste, ovni pieces...) or too defiant challenges (flying under a bridge) and these specialy have so little to no reward that makes you feel frustrated for spending so many hours on them... but the rest, is gold. Sadly I'm not into the whole online thing, otherwise I'd enjoy it too. This game will remain among my most favourite ones in my lifetime, very close to Red Dead Redemption.     - The story is long and diverse, with three playable characters and the ability to change between them most of the times. However, I missed more interesting side missions, since the ones included are quite generic, with few exceptions.

    -The Online is okay, including constant free updates, but is extremely dragged with real in-game purchases with absurd prices. It is really grindy and repetitive for those who do not spend anything in the store.
    Overall, GTA V is a great game, including a lot of conten (most of it quite good), but it is not by any means the greates in the series. Worth checking out even at the release price.    … Expand

    A game with an AMAZING story. The missions are great and diversefull with many cool ideas. The full story is interesting and the game produces many emotions playing it. The map is great, with many secrets but it would be nice if we could enter more buildings and if they would have special options, just like for example a casino. I like the fact that we've got choices and we can control some things during the sory mode. The online mode is really good and nice. It's hard to be bored there because you can do just so much thinks like races, missions, deathmatches, heists, car-tuning, explore the world, find secrets or just troll around. Some DLC's may be strange, so they shouldleave GTA V, that game has got some years and it's a big succes.

    Apart for the main missions, there are many things you can do while playing the main game; side quest, hidden quest and many things to discover or reveal.
    Of course, where there is crime, there are weapons for that, and so this time Rockstar didn't disappointed us, many guns, pistols, rocket launchers,... and of course with them, even weapons attachments for better recoil or accuracy.
    Well, you might ask what after that, what after all the main storyline quests and all side activities, well, in singleplayer there aren't many things left to do, which caught me off-guard as I always remembered playing all those vigilante, fire and ambulance truck activities which I was looking forward to, but this time, none of them are here. But this doesn't mean anything because there is a massive multiplayer mode waiting for you to try new things, buy apartments, play heists with other players or friends,... ( Well from this year the online servers are shut down, but for the review, I still had to point out how good the Multiplayer Mode was).
    The only things that killed the enjoyment was the massive loading times, both singleplayer and multiplayer mode, in multiplayer is even worse, after every activity outside the game session you had to wait the servers to put you back in another game session and so on.

    All in all, one of the best open-world game till this day, even though nowadays half of the game locked due to servers being shut down, but you still have the whole main story left to complete which will give you many entertaining hours of enjoyment and thrill.    … Expand

    Loved playing GTA 5! I loved being able to switch between 3 different characters each with their different skill sets. Multiplayer was also fun, for awhile. I was doing some mission and another player was chasing me with his car and I got a strike or a mark for destroying his car in the process. It was considered bad behavior. I prefer Playstation due to their focus on narrative games. For scoring, I’ll be using the Gameinformer review scale and of course influenced by my personal opinions.

    (9) Superb. Just shy of gaming nirvana, this score is a high recommendation because the game reviewed is head-and-shoulders above its competition.

    Rockstar is hands down the best there is when making a parody of the real world. They came out with an innovated idea to have three main characters to play as and they are all well written. You can spend a lifetime in the single player mode with how much there is in the game to do, but they also have a online mode which they just keep on adding more too. How do you choose? Online mode is full of greifers so be aware, but there is a work around to have a session all to yourself if you find yourself with bad luck in finding a good lobby. The online economy can be tough so do some research if you find it hard to make money. There are tons of helpful information on the internet for you. Now for the reason I’m not giving this game a ten. I never felt attached to any of the main characters/story didn’t have any moving moments. It was all action, which may not be a bad thing to many of you. I will always remember Niko Belic and his ambition to start a new life in America. Another issue is how they aren't being as detailed as they did in the past with the driving mechanics, car physics, relationships, and businesses.    … Expand

    Do i need to say anything? this is GTA V i have been playing this game since lauch and have been going back to it since then. The story is fun to play and the when driving you feel like you are driving in LA (with a bit more tanks and jetpacks in the air).

    Doesn't feel much different than GTA IV. Graphics are pretty outdated and the resolution is kinda low, gameplay is very much the same but the story is different and you have three characters to control this time around.

    All in all, a good game but it doesn't innovate, just a different wrapping to a familiar game. Still fun wreaking havoc.

    The gameplay is good, but not very. They improved the fighting/moving a bit, but they regressed at driving if you ask me (the cars moved better in GTA 4). Still, a lot of activities around the city, and the map is fairly big so there are a lot of things to try, but then again, nothing really, really impressive.

    The graphics are the low-point if you ask me. It looks like a slightly improved GTA4. Which is understandable, because otherwise it probably wouldn't have worked on PS3/Xbox 360, but still, why praise it for something that in the end is mediocre.

    Good game overall, had fun playing it. But not near the masterpiece that people are trying to make it seem.    … Expand

    The Map: The map is simply HUGE, and it's a little bit boring when you are going to do the mission, because it's delays a lot to arrive at the target. AND on GTA IV we had a lot of taxis going by through the city, but on GTA V, when we need the taxi we don't have, compared to the GTA IV, there are only 60% of the taxis that had on the other game.
    The driving: It's awesome. Now you can run with it and its don't shake as the GTA IV
    The graphic: It's also amazing the streets are really real, with a lot of details
    And to finish, making a review. The songs of the radio are known and cool. But that are other things in the game there you can't understand why it doesn't happen/exist.    … Expand

    This game really deserves a 10. Keeping online from us from the start knocks it down a point. Then the online mess we are dealing with knocks another off. If they can fix the online problems, this game is still the best game out there and deserves that point back. Then if they can make up for it by compensating us somehow, it should be a solid 9.5.     There's no catchy story, you just are sent somewhere to kill someone, then steal something in order to robe a bank, or assault a car.
    I feel a little bit disappointed now, because the game was getting almost perfect reviews everywhere and I think there are a lot of better games around.

After playing my favorite game this gen, the last of us, i realized that Gta v's story is very predictable and seemed oddly put together (with the number of heists and over exaggerated drama). The story that rockstar had with Gta v felt new but soon declined and made you lose that little bit of accomplishment you had playing through the start of the game. I still think that the lifeinvader mission to be this games' most memorable mission. The ending portion of the game seemed to be much more serious then the rest.. You have three outcomes to choose from for the ending (i won't spoil it) and all three endings felt very lackluster and made me say... Really? All of them felt like put together cliches and it felt really rushed compared to the whole premise of the story. Even the "good ending" tries to make light of the whole situation by making some hard advances on really uncanny and unfunny jokes to take away from the seriousness of the atmosphere, which i didn't like. Don't get me wrong i loved the humor in gta v and found myself laughing my ass off but the endings struck a nerve for me. Honestly take a minute and ask yourselves. Is the fifth installment to GTA, a better or on par storyline, with San Andreas (which is still my favourite GTA)? Of course not. San Andreas wasn't cliche, repetitive and drawn out. San andreas had some extraordinary twists that made you excited, the twists were extraordinary and unpredictable and it actually pulled you into the heart of the characters in it. This game really didn't capture and mesmerize me that much and the characters seemed to be unlikable. That being said the characters personified what GTA was really about, so i looked past my views on the characters. Great game overall, disappointed with the climax and execution of the storyline. I find that gta v is a respectable 8 or a 9. Good job rockstar!… Expand

Honestly, the pictures and the box art gave me a little bit of wrong idea of all three of their relationship, before I play the game. I thought they were like 3 best buddies and they all had big dreams and worked together since day one. So I thought they would be like super close. But I somehow could not feel the connection between the three of them. Especially Trevor and Franklin. I felt like they are just forced to work together and just all about business. Not just them, Franklin felt like he s kinda an errand boy and just want to get done. I think those two were the biggest flaws. Also, in-between the story, I thought there would be more. Like robbing the jewelry story I thought there will be more like that and Michael and Amanda's relationship. Rockstar procrastinate too long in the beginning. I thought there would be more right after he beat up the yoga dude...am I the only one? I think theres more but I don't want to point out all of them.     e un gioco divertente longevo frizzante ricco di colpi di scena personaggi divertenti da potenziare auto di lusso barche elicotteri aerei moto d'acqua bici cani un sacco di attività ecc.. insomma il classico gta dei tempi di san andreas pero..quindi "IL MEGLIO". forse il fatto delle    io penso che questo gioco sia il risultato giusto, ottimale di 250 mln di dollari spesi e 5 anni di lavoro

    per chi invece magari ha giocato solo a gta 4 o (che a me nn e piaciuto: troopo lineare troppe poche cose da fare ecc..) a pochi altri titoli della serie, direi che e il meglio che si poteva aspettare il piu bel gta di sempre (con san andreas e i primi 2 gta)

    This is a great game, but it cannot hold a candle to the likes of overall story and emersion of red dead redemption. Honestly I am dissapointed, I love rockstars stories, the great satire, it pulls no punches on the terrible state of america, and the world as a whole, obsessed with money, power and popularity. The three character switchig mechanic is plesent in gameplay but hinders the story, it becomes too focused on showing crazy stunts and doesn't really develop the charaters, Trevor stays a lunatic, Michale stays ignorent, franklin does however realise he should hang out with his homie, lamar more but that is all. I wouldnt be too upset with this as Michale and Trevor are set in their ways bu throughout the whole game they argue, which was understandable given the history but became jarring by the final mission. Franklin by the mid point of the game seemed so unbelivably attached to michale you would think he was his farther.
    This all may sound negative but the game is a treat, the driving is fun, the discovery and emersion is perfect and the combat is ok.. rockstar seems tofind it hard to make aiming a gun fun, but the feedback from the soon to be dead guys bodies are a sight to be hold, the europhysics engin isn't as revolutionary as it was in 2008, but still very rewarding. Hand to hand combat is there but is very forgetable, stealth makes an aperance, but is in no way developed into an actual gameplay style, more a gimmick you would never use, which is a shame.
    The heists, this is was the highlights of the game, the set ups really drove up the anticipation, the moments before the alarm bells start ringing with the atmospheric ambiant music makes an intense excitment. Its ashame there are only about five of these as once the first one is done anyother misson away from the heists feels like a waste of time. The side activities are fun if you are into that stuff and you could invest a lot of time in stoke markets and tennis etc.
    However after all is said and done, this is a rockstar game, so the missable details are what builds up to really emerse you, hitting road kill and Trevor will roar, flip flops actually flip and flop! Totally crazy this is on current gen.
    This is a massivly enjoyable game, with the required depth, scope and detail to really earn the investment required to expirience.
    Oh and the multiplayer is a mess the i put 6 hours into and hated it. Never again.    … Expand

The game itself is pretty good, one of the bests I've played this generation (I am a very sensitive gamer, most of the games I play, no matter how good they are to other people, deserve 7, 6, or less to me when I play them). I really liked everything about it, and the graphics are pretty good for it to be a PS3/Xbox 360 (in which both have limited hardware, which leads to crappy graphics, though the graphics in these game are not crappy considering it's an open-world game, in fact, they're great [not as crappy as other games] graphics). Seriously, I am honest and I don't like to overrate games; what killed the 9 for me in this game was the online. It just had a headache-giving matchmaking system. Let me explain it; not only the character creator was weird and limited, but the main point in the online mod, which is playing "Jobs" (which are basically game modes like racing, deathmatch, team deathmatch) is pretty much impossible to be done if you don't have a friend to play with that moment. Seriously, you click "Join Match" and rather than doing what it says it will do, it makes you host your own match. You invite everyone in the game and wait for people to join, but guess what; no one in the game EVER accepts your invitations or joins your game. Seriously, I waited 30 minutes waiting for someone to join the match, and guess what... exactly, no one joined. Not just that is bad, but there is an option that says "Find Crew Members To Play With" (a crew is basically an in-game group) well, my crew has 400k people in it. Perfect, I might finally be able to play with someone. I click "Join/Accept" and it says that I can't join them because my version of GTA is not compatible. For the love of God, my GTA is updated (because if you're playing online, you basically have it updated, otherwise you wouldn't be connected), and I am pretty sure it's impossible for some people to have a different version of GTA and be able to play it because the game forces you to update. This is obviously a bug or glitch and I am not sure if this happening because I own the PS3 version of the game and PSN is free (which I doubt is the problem). Anyway, I had good expectations for GTA Online, but sometimes, what has the best advertisement, turns out to be the worst out of something. Rockstar kept saying it was gonna be awesome on their ads, but it turned out to be buggy, glitchy, had problems the first week of release, and still has almost the same problems (except that you're now able to connect to GTA Online, unable to play with anyone, though). While I was reminding myself of all those problems in GTA Online, I was planning to give GTA 5 a seven, but I guess that's okay, GTA Online isn't what I have to focus on considering GTA 5 is full of content and fun. Seriously, you can't go wrong with the awesome gameplay, the "Freak Missions", the charismatic storyline, the charming characters, the attractions (like Tennis, the strip clubs, drinking at Michael's house or a bar, the roller-coasters, or simply doing stunts), the missions (which are part of the storyline, but seriously, I had to make this point separately because some missions like the one where you have to save Michael's daughter from the boat and she still blames you for killing their ''friends'' even though they were shooting you is really hilarious, not to mention the one where you have to save Michael's boat and he didn't care about his son even though his life was in danger). Seriously, I have A LOT more to say, just have fun playing this game if you ever get it or if you have it already. Must be a game-of-the-year for 2013!
    PS: Your characters die much faster and is more realistic in that sense, but it still doesn't ruin any of the gameplay, especially if you're careful. Also, it's harder to lose the cops (not really a problem). Sorry, had to say this but I didn't wanna ruin my long review by placing it in a wrong spot. Enjoy and have a beautiful thanks-giving! The gameplay is solid and a good improvement from GTA 4 but im sorry but the story and characters are truly poor, Michael somehow manages to be more boring than the silent protagonist form GTA 3 which is an achievement in itself and i know everyone loves Trevor but i don't agree, yes he is funny but itAs a game this is good don't get me wrong is great but for a GTA i feel it is lacking.     A very decent game, the story; good, the multiplayer; good. The problem is that is all there is to say about it. It lacks a special feature (the treble story characters is just a gimmick). It will likely get better with the updates and patches, but considering that they aren't part of the base game i don't think they should count.

    While the game didn't live up to it's hype, it still turned out to be a pretty good game overall. Nice graphics, good voice acting and the GTA gameplay we all know. Violent, gruesome and over the top, of course, but it wouldn't be GTA without it. If you are a fan of the series I don't think you will be let down, just don't expect the greatest game of all time. Worth your time and money.

    Not as good as I expected. There is plenty of stuff in this game that I truly hate. Single player is kinda limited in open world approach. Heists could have been better. The Online is utterly horrible thanks to trolls and limited mission count. Other than that, everything's fine. Just try to get it. I don't say GTA V is bad. It's a great game, but GTA SA is better to me

    GTA V is a pretty awesome game. The first few missions are kind of boring but stuff starts to get interesting. It isn't as fluent as stated, found Michael's wife floating in air and his daughter too but that's minor. Story line is great.

    While driving is improved and the vehicles are much better to control instead of sliding around everywhere annoyingly, I am slightly disappointed at the arcade style damage and crashes. I can drive around and slam into other cars/objects all day and my car hardly takes a dent nor is any health drained.

    Graphically I have no issues with the game and they are improved quite a bit. I am also not experiencing any framerate issues like others are complaining about. Maybe that has something to do with having an older model playstation or something? Driving, running, shooting, and the cinema scenes are all very smooth for me.

    Besides the driving my other major gripe is the story/characters you control. The characters are not likable at all, and the dialogue is just awful. It's basically as someone else summed it with Franklin using the N word in every sentence(gets very old), Michael being a whinny prick, and Trevor a psychopath. They could have toned down the cursing as well as it just makes the characters in the game seem unintelligible in spots, and just plain unintelligent for not using better words.

    Overall the game is fun, and you will easily get your money's worth even with those few gripes as the open world and other aspects are all great. The online aspect is not out yet, but it's supposed to be a significant aspect to the game which will help as well.    … Expand

    On the technical side, The game does have some question marks over its head and it will clearly be a while until a lot of the niggly bugs are taken care of. But think to yourself about which is better? A release now or a release in 15 months 15 months’ time after extensive testing? If you answered in 15 months’ time, then you probably don’t smoke, drink, use a credit card or care about any short term enjoyment at the expense of long term pain.(Note. Not necessarily a bad thing!)

    Ok, It won’t be everyone’s game.(incidentally, GTA 4 wasn’t really MY thing either). GTA 5 certainly shouldn’t be played by anyone under at least 16, but its charming, and obviously intelligently written and thought out for its audience. I appreciate being treated by game designers to stories, missions and characters with consequences, personalities and interactions thought out as well as this game has done.

    As more games like this that have such a high entertainment level, take longer and longer to develop the waiting time between games tends to frustrate me though.

    With a world as open and varied and still yet largely untouched as GTA5 is. I reckon at least a couple of mind blowing DLC’s packs and missions will be needed to firmly cement this games position as that of one in the top 3 games on the PlayStation 3.    … Expand

    The same gta puts you a lot of of mini games and side and you get bored of them in 10 minutes the campign is kinda good but some say its godd the replay but it is not i even found more fun the new game plus of tlou the driving is normal and shooting mechanics sticky and annoying this game is perfect to play with your friends but this game is far from perfect

    The Gameplay however is as good as its always been with much improved tweaks especially with the shooting mechanics i feel that the game plays perfectly, the voice acting is incredible as always in these games and despite the short story there is a incredible array of things to do in the game before during and after the main story it will keep any die hard gamer going for months yet and with GTA Online coming im sure rockstar are saving the best till last. 8/10 for me.    … Expand

GTA5 Online is also a total mess(For the time being). But after finally getting to play I was having a lot of fun. The activities are much more fun with other players. The game modes are also very unique and fun. My favorite being crooked cop. But the death matches are very stale and boring. GTA5 online is supposed to have content added regularly Im hoping that they release content that is original and fun. And hopefully does not get repetitive. GTA5 online right now is basically a 16 player lobby for mini games that can be found in the main game but has a lot of room to expand. Im looking forward to see how it does so. As for the log in issues. Its typical for a game this size and will probably be fixed with in the week. No worries. All in all GTA5 has been a fun experience this far. I was hoping for a little bit more. as im already getting bored. But I Highly recommend it if your looking for a game to play. Its a very fun experience with a lot of amazing moments and the online side also adds more entertainment. But if your looking for a game like Skyrim where you will be playing for months. This isn't it. I'm predicting this ends up like GTA:4 over-hyped and everyone forgets it in two months. But besides that fun game. Definitely worth the 60 dollars not worth all the hype.… Expand

The look sensitivity is too way slow, even on the highest setting. Any possibly of this game winning over FPS fans seems doubtful in its current state due to this oversight.     The world is huge and vibrant, it's alive! Though not as alive as developers claimed, there are areas with nothing to do at all, but still, this is biggest open world gta game so far. Graphics are great and up-to-date, I wasn't expecting that kind of perfomance with current gen consoles.
    The story for once is outstanding. I really enjoyed missions and characters for the first time in GTA-game. Every mission brings something new, it's fun to come back to some of them and the game gives you easy way of doing so. The amount of work developers put in this is astronomical.
    The only downside I could find is radio. In this game it's horrible compared to other games in the series. There're like 4 hip-hop and rap radio stations (and I'm not a fan of those, so it's wasted on me), 1 crappy punk radio, absolutely NO METAL RADIO (punk and metal are completely different things), better learn from SR series, where metal station was always awesome. The only pop station is mixed with todays pop and retro (which is a huge buzzkill, there shouldn't be rhianna playing next to pet shop boys), rock radio is good, but country could've been more. All in all, the people that was in decision of compiling sound track were pretty biased towards hip hop and electronic music. And that's a shame really, since I can't appreciate both.    … Expand

    I really enjoy playing this game, and it does deserve a 10, but due to major AI problems, spawn problems and horrible police AI it simply cannot get a pefect score.

    Contrary to popular belief, it does have its issues. The most obvious is GTA Online which is a hot mess for the time being; when it isn't freezing or bugging out it can become a glitchers' and griefers' paradise with little to contribute. It'll be difficult to evaluate until it actually works as intended and by then interest may have waned. Story mode is engaging enough, but the three anti-heroes suffer due to the supporting characters; rarely do they do much more for the trio than advance the story and, save a few, they are difficult to care about. This seems like a missed opportunity to reinforce the depth of the contrast among the three main characters and form a more coherent main arc, especially when so much work went into generating a vast library of dialogue.

    Some odd choices made in regards to controls. First, the omission of shoulder switch; leaving out a mechanic so ubiquitous to third-person gunplay feels odd, and cover suffers as a result. Speaking of cover, the surface that you're going to "stick" to can be unpredictable and sometimes comedic. The stealth mechanic is barebones and feels out of place, but isn't intrusive to the combat. Stealth as it relates to losing the cops is a nice touch, but also a bit under-realized as the cops sometimes seem clairvoyant when they shouldn't have line of site.

    Overall, an excellent realization of a city-based sandbox with plenty of fun things to do and all the tools you need to dig into it. Story mode is plentiful although weakly framed. Online seems to be well conceived, but thus far poorly implemented.    … Expand

    A pretty entertaining game with good characters and a solid enough story. Some missions are much better than others and you may find yourself bored with what you're doing, making it hard to play for long periods of time. I've finished 68% the story and am still not overly invested. That said, messing around is as fun as ever. Definitely not game of the year, but an impressive effort.

    The final reason this gets an 8 instead of a 10 is the online portion. In the past, it was just free roam, but with other people. Now, it's an unbalanced online RPG. I join a game with 5 people in it 100 levels a head of me. This makes the online portion unfair. New players are greeted with a singular semi-auto pistol and a crappy sports car; and they have to go up against a guy wearing nothing but underwear and a pig mask who also happen to have 3 miniguns shoved up their arse, an infinite supply of the most expensive sports cars in the game, a money supply that could buy the country of Germany, and the worst of all, sticky bombs. The online portion is just completely unbalanced, especially the newer players.
    Those reasons and probably more to come are why this game gets an 8 out of 10.    … Expand

    I was excited when I got the game, however, I played it and after around 15 hours of game play, it doesn't feel very different from the previous title. There is also a lot to do on the side. GTA online however is a different story. While there is a lot to do, leveling up and making money is more of a grind and does get old. It has horrible systems in place for all currency, and missions barley pay you enough to cover the bullets you have to buy to either defend yourself, or complete the missions. people cant rob each other like I was expecting, and if you destroy other peoples rides you get bad sportsmanship crap and they send you to another lobby. All in all they did a great job in single player BUT multi-player KILLED the game for me, I'm still waiting for the 500K they promised us all for the horrible excuse that online is.… Expand

    The best way to bid farewell to the retiring consoles is to spend dozens of hours having fun in Los Santos: robbing, abusing illegal substances, breaking all laws and enjoying everything else that GTA V has to offer. And after we finish the game, we should all say loudly: ‘okay, Rockstar girls and boys, it’s high time to make a truly new GTA, not just a gigantic DLC’. [12/2013, p.36]
