Good looking game, puzzling game play who will keep you playing for hours to get the vegetation all over the map! I can recommend it for people who wants some chillout game with a bit of stress sometimes to make the game not too easy.

The game is a breath of fresh, nostalgic air amidst a market of mass-produced clones, invoking fond memories of classic gameplay and genres almost forgotten. It's not all a testament to past innovations, however. The core gameplay requires you, as the omnipotent Breath, to protect your tribe as they seek to populate increasingly dangerous environments. This is accomplished by manipulating the elements of each environment, thus adapting and taming the landscape. This system allows for astonishing experimentation, thanks to the impressive physics at play. A totally unique experience and a healthy evolution for the god game. Expand

I only played the demo, and got fed up quickly with the clunky controls. Otherwise, the game has a lot of potential and the visuals and environment are captivating.

The physics are modeled very well in this game and the puzzles are a lot of fun. The only faults with the game is the horrible pathing AI on the men and having to watch the same cut scene over and over if you fail a scenario. This game is good if you liked Populous but too short.

Sadly this game is all ideas and very little decent execution. Frequently your people will all be killed and you have to watch the cut scene again before starting over.
The controls are clunky and it’s ridiculously short to boot.

An excellent entry into the God Game genre. Once you get into the controls you'll be manipulating the environment like a true elemental master. Picking up sand or water (and later other materials), zooming out and then rushing to somewhere else and zooming in to carefully deposit it where you want.

The tribes people AI is pretty intelligent, not amazing but it does the job well. Also

The tribes people AI is pretty intelligent, not amazing but it does the job well. Also their animations are pretty nice. You can zoom right in to see them up close, and enjoy the environment from the ground.

The graphics are spot on. Actually I've returned to the PS3 after playing other systems for a few years and it still looks great in 2017! The water effects are amazing and very realistic, like when you drop some earth (or the environment "tilts") and all the water runs in another direction.

The puzzling is very inspired, revolving around how water feeds plants and kills fires, but fire feeds off plants and destroys villages but is stopped by rock, and even rock can be destroyed. Various (and strange) types of trees add to the puzzling system. Plus all the special powers add greatly to the experience and fit in really well. It's pretty easy to play and not too taxing. Basically this is what Godus wanted to be... The next evolution of Populous. I'd definitely buy the sequel if it comes! Just imagine how awesome that'd look on the PS4!

This game is absolutely greatness! I love the artwork and feel of this game. It just might give you a God-complex lol. I really hope they will eventually make a follow-up.

I enjoyed this game because it is like fresh wind among all the fast shooters, role-playing bloody games. Physics system is really good but at the beginning I have problems with camera.

Nice soothing god simulator, with different amounts of elements and mini bangs

This really typifies the message which From Dust projects. The natural world is unfathomably more complex and diverse than man can comprehend and so fighting against it is like holding sand – eventually, it'll slip though your fingers.

A beautiful game with plenty of good intentions, but a near-vertical learning curve and some baffling AI render it art more than enjoyment. [Issue#211, p.98]
