The learning curve is gradual but the action starts from your first race and never lets up. Fans of racing games will like this title especially ones who want a little something more.
  2. Very fun title, especially for its budget/impulse buy price of $29.99 it is worth picking up for racing fans.
  3. But for those looking to hone their high-speed racing and combat skills in the great outdoors, Fatal Inertia EX is a great place to race.
  4. Thanks to Koei making some key enhancements, the controls have now been fixed up considerably, erasing much of the game's previous faults.
  5. I was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed Fatal Inertia EX. It's not that it's an absolutely incredible game, but the willingness to go back to the drawing board and tweak or change some options (stuff like removing the free-point races, for instance) meant the game turned out far better than the original release.

Not a bad game but what does it want exactly? Not enough depth for it to be a racer but too much skill is needed for it to be a cart racer. Not a bad game but what does it want exactly? A had fun for a while and then it got dull on my own.

Warm nostalgic game, with cool physics, landscapes and especially debuffs on enemies, generally average

Terrible AI. It doesn't matter if you're a world-class pro, the game will keep the opponents immediately behind you. It doesn't matter ifTerrible AI. It doesn't matter if you're a world-class pro, the game will keep the opponents immediately behind you. It doesn't matter if there are more opportune targets, the AI will save its weapons to ensure the player doesn't place on the podium. Couple this with bugs that mean the game doesn't always actually count your successes, and it's a very frustrating experience. Full Review »
