This DLC will make you suffer. It will make you squirm in pain. This just doesn't feel like fallout to me. It's too linear and everything you build up, every weapon you have lost.
Worst thing is that it completely breaks the game. The lag is incredible and the game also froze a couple of times.

One of the better bits of Fallout DLC. Doesn't completely crash the game like some of Fallout 3s DLC but if you are on ps3, expect a laggy experience, just like the main game. Dead Money was tardy to class on the PS3. Released a couple of months after the X-Box 360 version, it's hard for PS3 lovers to leave the bitterness at the door. The difficult reputation earned by this expansion during that absent period was not incorrect. This is one tough expansion, yet it doesn't feel as complete or as complex as those released for Fallout 3. One major improvement overDead Money was tardy to class on the PS3. One major improvement over New Vegas is the lack of lag time and bugs that nearly crippled the New Vegas playing experience. Casual players may want to skip this DLC until the definitive version of New Vegas is released. Even hardcore players may want to wait as well. Expand

I know this review is a long time after the party but I can still give one. Played this DLC when it first came out, I HATED it. The suspense and nightmarish way of walking through a blood red, dead city, fighting off zombie like residences was awesome. Yes, it was difficult on some parts but it made it more fun. The end fight with Elijah was kind of a letdown. If your skills are high enough, you can get him to come down while you run out the door. I know you can fight him, but that was also a letdown. He was just too easy to take down. Other then that, I would definitely recommend this DLC. Expand

The story is fairly interesting, the characters are great and the way you have to play it is interesting and intense. The new weapons and gear aren't that interesting, but this is definetly worth checking out.

This is easily one of the best DLC's of the Fallout series. Dead Money is actually very interesting and its atmosphere quite unique. It serves as an exciting addition to Fallout: New Vegas. Too bad you can't go back to the Sierra Madre...

I feel like I just NEED to voice my opinion after seeing such a divide among the user review on this DLC on multiple platforms, and since I originally played it on PS3, so here I come!

This DLC is not for everyone. SURVIVAL CHALLENGE with minimal equipment is basically what it is, just like when you first started the game, but in this case everything is on a harsher and harder level. If you like being challenged then this is it for you, you won't find anything better than this in the world of Fallout.

One of the best games to the series and an All-time Classic. Also, the last Decent Fallout Game!

Completely different gameplay than the main game. A lot of sneaking, many traps, narrowness, confusing corridors, invincible enemies....

A missed opportunity, with Dead Money focusing on mostly the worst aspects of New Vegas. [Issue#203, p.98]

Though the new gear is lackluster, the path opened to the level 35 cap and new perks is fair compensation.

Obsidian delivers a first DLC that matches their Fallout: New Vegas : tense, captivating, despite its linearity. With a tiny bit more difficulty! Once more, we'd almost forget about the aging 3D engine of Bethesda and the poor AI. I experienced it like a little pen & paper RPG scenario of a single night. My thanks to the Obisidian Game Master.
