The combat levels are through the roof which makes the entire download a thrill ride.
  2. It’s just too linear and rushed to really feel authentic, and I think Bethesda may have learned their lesson from fan feedback, because nearly all of the future installments have made significant improvements on Anchorage’s shortcomings.

    Ridiculously simple. [Issue#186, p.87]

One of the best games to the series and an All-time Classic. Also, the last Decent Fallout Game!

Operation Anchorage was a great expansion. It's also important from a historical point of view of Fallout because, although it is only aOperation Anchorage was a great expansion. It's also important from a historical point of view of Fallout because, although it is only a simulation, offers a look at how the situation was before the 2077's Great War, to better understand how things are carried out between China and the US, before the nuclear bombing that forever changed the history of humanity. Thinking better on it, is here that began it all: since the Operation Anchorage was a success, began the military escalation that led to nuclear devastation. Anchorage should have been the end, but it was just the beginning.

The gameplay is fun and works well, it will not be the maximum for an RPG, but it certainly entertains. Quest's objectives to complete are well done, and gives really nice the idea of participating to a great military operation. Longevity also is pretty good.

Operation: Anchorage is mindless, uninteresting, and utterly pointless (really, it's just a simulation, a game within a game). Look elsewhereOperation: Anchorage is mindless, uninteresting, and utterly pointless (really, it's just a simulation, a game within a game). Look elsewhere for a DLC worthy of your time. Full Review »
