Jul 2, 2013It’s great fun, a hell of a time, and an excellent way to hold on to a true classic of the arcade circuit.
-
Jun 18, 2013While both titles will be a short experience if you’re just looking to blow past the initial playthrough, there’s enough content packed in here via replays to make you feel that this is $15 well spent.
-
Jun 18, 2013"Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara" is great fun. Yea, it’s technically two catalog titles coupled for the price of $15, but this release isn’t just the first time these games have been made available for stateside consoles – it’s also the definitive edition of both arcade classics.
-
Jun 27, 2013Iron Galaxy has polished both titles to a contemporary shine. In simple terms, Chronicles of Mystara is the best of the best.
-
Jun 18, 2013Dungeons & Dragons, a mythical name for fans of the classic pencil and paper RPG. Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara, two cult videogames. Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara, the opportunity that we had waited for twenty years. The download of this game is simply inevitable.

Jun 18, 2013Whether you played the game back in the day or not, if you were around in the 80's and early 90's, do yourself a favor and check this one out.
-
Jun 24, 2013In my opinion this is the best kind of arcade game: long sequences of button mashing and shouting at your friends to “get that guy!” before trying to figure out exactly how the Boss can be beaten.
-
Jun 21, 2013The greatest beat 'em up games ever made, in sparkling HD.
-
Jun 18, 2013Chronicles of Mystara is worth the purchase for any fans of beautiful sprite-based artwork or classic beat 'em ups. It's only flaws come from the technical limitations of its time and the design decisions that defined the arcade era. Gauntlet, Golden Axe, and Cadash all suffer from similar issues. Thankfully, Shadow Over Mystara trounces them all. It's the king of D&D-themed arcade action games, and should be respected as such.
-
Jun 27, 2013It’s great to see these two former arcade-exclusive mainstays finally get the restoration they deserve.

Jul 23, 2013A surprising, raucous, lovingly updated loot-fest. [Aug 2013, p.93]
-
Play UKJul 23, 2013One of the finest re-releases yet from Iron Galaxy and Capcom. [Issue#233, p.77]
-
Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaJul 12, 2013This formula may be 20-years-old but Chronicles’ gameplay is still razor sharp and the visuals are oddly endearing. To quote one of its Engrish quest-givers: please investigate into it. [August 2013, p78]
-
Jun 24, 2013This is about as good as an arcade port gets without straying too far away from the original. Shadows of Mystara is a rare gem in the quarter-munching world and they added layers of PSN integration are implemented really well.
-
Jun 18, 2013Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara brings back two of Capcom’s classic arcade side-scrolling beat-em-ups—and while both indeed show their age, they still have an immense amount of fun and adventure to offer those brave enough to stand up to their challenges.
-
Jun 24, 2013Nonetheless, flashes of brilliance are in evidence throughout these Dungeons & Dragons adventures, and both games were far enough ahead of their time to hold up to scrutiny. Four friends could have a great time blasting through both games in an extended evening get-together.
-
Jun 27, 2013Chronicles of Mystara won't wow gamers with modern tastes, but it's a competent arcade port that pays due respect while introducing tasteful new features.
-
Jun 26, 2013Whilst it never thrills, Dungeons and Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara is a perfectly enjoyable experience for those who are looking for a quick blast that doesn’t involve taxing the old grey-matter.
