Oct 29, 2011Dungeon Defenders is everything you could want from a downloadable title. The amount of content and number of possible play styles is astounding and, when combined with its addictive nature, makes for superb value for money.
-
Oct 19, 2011A few imperfections aside, developer Trendy Entertainment hit the nail on the head with Dungeon Defenders: It's unique, deep, addictive, and cheap.
-
Jan 17, 2012Dungeon Defenders successfully combines action, RPG, strategy and tower defense into one game. Even though it might not be the best title to play on your own, it surely is an amazing lot of fun in multiplayer and/or online play. Colorful cartoon-graphics and a suprising depth in gameplay make Dungeon Defenders a title that is definitely worth the low Playstation Store price.
-
Nov 15, 2011Dungeon Defenders is an amazingly deep tower defense RPG that'll reward players patient enough to explore its incredible amount of content with one of the most satisfying co-op experiences of this generation.
-
Oct 31, 2011I can talk all day about how engaging a round of Dungeon Defenders is, but I can't emphasize enough how important it is to find people to play with.
-
Oct 24, 2011Dungeon Defenders is a robust, complex tower defence/RPG with your name on it. Better yet, grab three of your friends to stand a better and literal fighting chance.

Playstation Official Magazine UKFeb 28, 2012Gallivanting through online co-op is an absolute hoot of the simplest and most addictive order. [March 2012, p.103]
-
Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxFeb 2, 2012Dungeon Defenders consists of two phases. First you strategically arrange your defenses, then you use the abilities of your characters to repel every goblin coming your way. Playing Dungeon Defenders in co-op is a must, since you can combine the powers of certain characters. [February 2012, p.101]
-
Nov 18, 2011Dungeon Defenders successfully blends strategy, rol and customization with action. A recommended game which is hard and demanding when playing solo, and very fun in cooperative.
-
Nov 5, 2011Does Dungeon Defenders stand out from the crowd? If I had to judge this game based solely on the action/tower defense/RPG gameplay, I would have to say no. None of those three features really shines and the whole isn't greater than the sum of its parts. However, the multiplayer component is done so well, with fluid matchmaking, well-balanced dungeons (for a group), and even the ability to hang out in a communal tavern between missions, it does present itself well as a great party game (either LAN or headset-over-internet). And at only fifteen dollars, it won't be too difficult to convince your friends to join in.
-
Oct 31, 2011A phenomenal coop experience that greatly surpasses the less exciting single player mode.
-
Oct 27, 2011A nice blend of Tower Defense and Action/RPG gameplay, Dungeon Defenders uses the carrot (characters with a persistant progression even when you fail) and the stick (a Dark Souls-like difficulty) with talent. The artistic direction and really punishing gameplay may be its worst shortcomings, but playing cooperatively with three friends still is a very nice experience.
-
Playstation: The Official Magazine (US)Jun 7, 2011A long list of dungeons and co-op modes make this a worthwhile purchase. [July 2011, p.86]

-
Jan 23, 2012Dungeon Defenders is actually a pretty good game. The game has easy controls, fun characters and the online multiplayer is a blast. The twist on Tower Defense is actually quite interesting and keeps the game fresh for a rather long time.
-
Dec 6, 2011It's colorful, requires strategy, and there's a lot of stat-building for those into it along with a decent variety of maps and challenges. However, there are serious drawbacks such as the repetition, difficulty curve, and less than ideal control scheme.
-
Nov 29, 2011It has to be said that Trendy Entertainment had sought to build a co-op focused game early on, and they achieved their goal, even though the final product has one super buff arm and one mediocre arm.
-
Oct 31, 2011Like the playable heroes-in-training, Dungeon Defenders is rough around the edges, but has the makings of greatness. The gameplay is simple to pick-up and play, and there is a sizable amount of loot to obtain (even if, sadly, only the weapon changes reflect the character model) as well as WoW-like pets to collect and upgrade.
