The missions are very simple and easy, both the main story mode, as the secondary.
Shift mode makes the game very repetitive, as well as being a crazy driver in the universe of the series, as a fan of old PS1 games, I very much frustated with Driver SF, a handful of silly mini-games, better get back playing Burnout Paradise, which is all that SF Driver tried and failed ...

Probably one of the worst known games of all time. Driver San Fransisco struggles to comply with everyday physical and graphical life. Overall, this game is NOT recommended.

The only thing it retains from the old games is the handling of the muscle cars.
The cops don't react to you unless you ram them, there's only one city now, no night missions or missions under the weather and gone are the days of having to really master the driving to evade cops, now you ram other cars like a truck, even got a silly ram button, and an idiotic storyline as an excuse to

A Driver remade with modern graphics would've been so much better.

Driver is a well made game and even though I sometimes got bored of doing side missions, overall it was better than I expected. It's a good addition to the series and shifting is a pretty cool feature that maybe not all people will like, but you'll just have to see for yourself.

Still, minor annoyances keep Driver from being stellar: some areas of the city must be unlocked via story progression, fishtailing is occasionally over-the-top and loathsome during races and chases, and Shift is inexplicably limited during certain missions. [Nov 2011, p.81]

If you've ever wanted to drive through a chain link fence. If you've ever accelerated towards a speedhump instead of slowing down for it. If you've ever thought going through a corner sideways would look a hell of a lot cooler than bumbling through it like a normal schmuck. If you've ever thought any of those things, play this game without delay. [October 2011 p69]
