Jan 15, 2013The combat is decent. The platforming is a bore. The story could've been good but was executed terrible. The script is atrocious, as is the Voice Acting and Motion Capture. It also only runs to about 7 hours. It's fun for a while, but replaying through the story and such would be absolutely unbearable. Get's a 5/10 for the fun combat, but everything else horribly drags it down.

Jan 23, 2013You should really play this game with an open mind. Forget about the past Devil May Cry games and play this as if a new. It is a reboot after all, all the negativity for this game is the change, and the differences when you should expect it in a reboot. Ninja Theory did a great job on this game, it's not perfect, but it certainly isn't a 0/10 that many users are posting.

Feb 8, 2014This game is fun as hell. Sure it's not the same as the first 3, (I played those as well) but it's still a great game. The voice acting for Dante is kinda meh at points but the game was still really fun. **** the negative reviews.

Jul 6, 2013Although not one of the best games I have ever played, I did have fun with this game. It took a little time to actually get into, but when I finally did I enjoyed it.

Mar 22, 2013DmC is a decent reimagining of the series. The game has a good flow to the combat, and even though its been dumbed down since previous entries, it is still the selling point of the game. Other then that the story just seems too angsty, like it's trying to seem hXc. The length is also sinfully short. Beat it in about 5 and a half hours. That amount of gameplay just isn't worth $60 any more.

Mar 23, 2013Pretty game, but not at the same level of the older games of Devil May Cry and way too muchu heasy. The new Donte is nothing compared to the old dante and the story isn't that awesome, i'll give it a 6 only for the nice gameplay :S "nice" a little too much :S

May 5, 2014It's a diffcult game. But I think this game is too simple because you really only can be two skills, dodge an attack and attack with your weapon or magic.

Nov 27, 2014The combat makes it a seven.
Few games have such stylish and complex combat.
It's fun to play but the puzzle are too easy, the story leaves much to be desired and the monster designs are bland. -

May 16, 2018Yes, I do hate the new take on Dante, Vergil and Mundus. I really do. But the game is so fun to play. Between the constant combat, fear of the very city itself killing you, and the very nice soundtrack, DmC: Devil May Cry is a nice hack and slash that I recommend to past and new Devil May Cry fans.
-
Sep 22, 2020DMC: devil may cry is an insult to the fans, the original makers, and to the name of the series it self, story wise that is, but gameplay is a sold dmc gameplay with some thrling combos and enjoyable mecanechs. bad story great gameplay and probably that what every one care about is the gameplay that's why I am rating it high.
-
Mar 4, 2023Appallingly mediocre in every aspect. Everything from the sophomoric storyline to the painfully repetitive button mashing combat is a disappointment. The atmosphere of fun that has characterized the Devil May Cry series is gone, replaced by the same grimgritty slosh that has completely destroyed modern FPS games. If you are a 12 year old boy who has just discovered video games and the

Jan 29, 2022um excelente game que foi injustiçado, tem graficos excelentes e um humor muito bom.
-
May 3, 2022A pretty good game. Combat and levels are interesting and varied. The best platforming in the DMC series. Story is mixed which lets the game down severely.
-
Jun 27, 2022DMC is a fun game whose protagonist will probably make many people cringe rather than unironically quote.

Mar 18, 2023Not the best the series offers but its definitely overhated its not a bad game by any means and we can only wonder what the game Ninja Theory would have made if Capcom didn't keep involving themselves in the development

Jul 30, 2013If nothing else, DmC is sure to entertain with many hours of button hammering, fizzing combat. However, the experience as whole has hugely benefitted from a reboot and those who are familiar with the series will appreciate the new features and relish the opportunity relive Dante’s origin story. DmC, as a combat driven action title has held together the soul of the franchise, while enhancing all in-game features to create a unique experience for everyone.

Official PlayStation Magazine BeneluxMar 14, 2013Ninja Theory deserves credit for not only delivering smooth combat and telling an entertaining story, but also for crafting detailed character models without lip-synch errors, who show real emotion and wear clothing that moves along with them. This is what a 2013-game should look like. [February 2013, p.72]

Mar 12, 2013Ninja Theory are calling the DMC shots now and they're doing it well. The fighting mechanics are a little bit easier to master and perhaps not as deep as before, but on the other hand the storytelling is improved with skillfully crafted cutscenes. Put up with a rather dull introduction and you're in for a great game.
