As a new player, The Taken King is phenomenal. Large, expansive, interactive maps, personalized gear, and plenty of missions. It's standard for a level cap increase to come with new, better gear and tougher enemies.

What I like about this game is that the difference in levels for enemies isn't astronomical; level 1 enemies aren't necessarily going to be one-shotted by a level 40 primary weapons, and low level weapons can take out higher level enemies with good tactics.

I expect this game to last for a long, long time.

Worst game I have ever played. The game is basically a grind-fest and the Taken King does nothing to change that. Basically Bungie has made a few new weapons and a couple new missions and is forcing players to buy it by making all of the existing gear and weapons obsolete.

Honestly good, but a way too expensive. This is what we were deserving from Destiny D-one release. Now we have to buy it at full price, i feel cheated...

This expansion is pretty much a new game. The amount of new content is staggering. I spent 10 hours yesterday and barely scratched the surface. The new quest interface is much more organized and easy to use. The amount of quest/story lines is amazing. The only downfall of this expansion is I don't think I will be able to play three characters anymore.

Same poor excuse of content that Bungie have been putting as little effort into as possible for the past 2 years just rehashed once more.

Same bad gameplay, no new features.

This is not the Destiny I bought a year ago. This is so much better. Strikes are challenging and have more creativity, gear isn't the source of level (but it helps with your defense & offense stats, as it should), there is a LOT more story through cutscenes and detailed voice overs during missions (Nathan Fillion is a big part of the game this time around, which I love), and the new socialThis is not the Destiny I bought a year ago. Destiny The Taken King has surprised me in the best way possible. As a player who enjoyed the original Destiny but got bored when it hit the grind phase, I am really enjoying this new expansion. The Story missions are really fun and engaging. Even after the "story" missions come to a close you are sent back to the tower and instantly your new Quest Log is fun of new fun things to do. These aren't all just "collect 25 such and such", many of these are new missions on new and old levels. One particularly fun mission sent me into the Vault of Glass raid environment (which I had never played before)
I will definitely be playing this expansion off and on for the next few weeks.
It has also sealed the deal for me, I WILL be buying all future expansions for Destiny. At $40 I believe this is an amazing value. I haven't even touched the new PVP maps or the raid yet! Keep up the good work Bungie and don't let the haters keep you down.
P.S. Please add more vehicles and eventually space flight.

If you score a 0 on the game, you are saying that YOU personally don't like any part of the game and you are "offended by it", because you expected something different. What you SHOULD be doing is rating the game based on what it has to offer, the fun factor (regardless of whether you didn't like the direction the programmers went). If you never played Destiny and you loaded it up and played it for the first time....how would you rate the game then?

I enjoyed the new additions to the game. The new weapons and added content were sorely needed for a better play experience. The sparrow racing was a great temporary addition. It really needs to be added permanently with some added tracks. Some tracks could be a shoot em up to blow the lead player away (think Mario Cart) and others would be regular racing. That was a great addition.

The Taken idea was great, but I think players wanted to see a new species introduced. I couldn't help but agree with that. Did it take away my fun factor? Absolutely not. This is a fun game by all means. I've never been much for the PVP (Crucible), but the new additions have me playing it now. It is seriously fun!

I felt it was expensive considering the House of Wolves cost $20 and it was not a full expansion and then shortly after The Taken King came out for another full price of a new game. I bought it regardless and still enjoyed playing it. I've completed all the levels and still keep repeating the levels in Heroic and PVP.

The game is not a 0 and it is not a 10. It's fun. It has huge open world maps. It has fun PVP. I wish there were a better system to group other players and group chat if you don't have headphones.

I'd like to see space pvp added!

A solid 8 for a score. Haters have to stop hating!
