    There's still good fun here, and it's exceptional value for money, but perhaps hold off until the lustre of the first game has faded a smidgen, when this retread will likely appear a little less than what it is: merely a very good – if perhaps unrequested – retake.

    Having had my DeathSpank: Thongs of Virtue experience so painfully truncated by the aforementioned bug, it's hard to comment fully on the game. It is possible however, to say that going by the entertaining action/RPG elements and the unparalleled humor of the game to that point, that Ron Gilbert's still "got it". Still, a bug that prevents players from finishing the game (and that as yet has no known fix) just can't be overlooked.

Do not misunderstand it: this second part is truly excellent as well.

    If you have played the first game right before starting this one, maybe it will not surprise you as much as the former. But in any case, it is a highly recommendable game either you have played the original one or not. The mechanics are basically the same, though with some little changes (new fire weapons, for example) and a new world to explore.    … Full Review »

    i loved the first one and the second one is great. but with more of the same i did run into it feeling overly repetitive and haven't finishedi loved the first one and the second one is great. but with more of the same i did run into it feeling overly repetitive and haven't finished it yet. i will one day be in the mood for a good dose of deathspank and finish it but maybe it was too soon for more of this. love it still though no complaints on gameplay or graphics, which i love, or sound. story is hilarious as ever and the new weapons and upgrades so feel different but in the end it was just more of the same so did get a bit boring. still one of the absolute best DLgames out there. if it all came as one package i wouldn't have thought twice about paying full price for a disk version so in my opinion it's a bargain too for what you get. unlik most DLgames it take more than a couple hours to complete!… Full Review »
