Overall a good quality DLC installment with gameplay on par with the original game. However, like a lot of DLC, it doesn't really add much to the overall experience and is somewhat clumsily implemented both in terms of it's narrative (Time travel?.... seriously?) and in how you access it (more on that later). Thankfully the rest of the DLC is 'true' original content with some interesting levels, enemies and bosses.
Finally, while the Souls series is famous for it's nebulous approach to a lot of aspects of it's lore, mechanics etc... the process for accessing the DLC is needlessly obscure, so much so that it further accentuates its 'tacked-on' nature. This means that you will almost certainly miss it entirely unless you have consulted an online guide on how, when and where to access it.… Expand
