Es cierto que este juego no es tan completo como los Modern Warfare pero tiene a su favor que el modo Campaña está mucho mejor trabajado, jugar a este juego en difícil te sumerge a la sensación de pesadilla que supuso estar en la II Guerra Mundial.

A great and really cool CoD game, but not necessarily one of my favorite, by the way, almost everything about this game is very cool. Beautiful graphics, really playable, amazing campaign and very dope Nazi Zombie mode too!

Quick background on me the reviewer, I tend to like single player games that is heavy on narrative the most. Treyarch did a good job with the Call of Duty franchise. The addition of zombie’s mode is a lot of fun for a little while but gets boring quick. Graphics aren’t as good as Modern Warfare but not much to complain about. Campaign was good from what I remember. Spent a good amount of time with this game but not as much as the Infinity Ward versions. I think I just prefer the modern setting.

Such an amazing game. A shame it was already infested with hackers by 2010 and couldn’t experience it in its prime.

Playing this game was a phenomenal experience. Both in terms of graphics, which is really breathtaking for 2008, but also in terms of how the game itself is processed. The breathtaking story, especially the Soviet campaign, is epic. But I must also say that the American campaign in the Pacific is also excellent.

As in any game, Call of Duty has a wide variety of weapons to choose from.

I fell in love with the short films that were always shown before the start of the mission.

I was a little sorry that the single player was not longer. It could accommodate more events that happened during World War II.

In conclusion, I have to take my hat off in front of Activision and Treyarch. I do not regret a single minute of playing this masterpiece. So I have to rate this game 10/10.

Call of Duty World at War is the first serious game from Treyarch that showed the potential of the studio. Yes, it was unrealistic to compare with Modern Warfare. This was both an iconic and game changing call of duty. With the introduction of Nazi Zombies, this game set off what can only be described as a cultural gaming phenomenon, that would grow into so much more. The story mode was solid, and the multiplayer was fun. I absolutely adore this game, which gave me an appreciation for Call of Duty I never had before.

With it's dark gritty world war 2 setting, it gives you a perspective of the war that we haven't seen a great a mount of in recent war movies and video games. While it may not have lived up to the standards of the previous installments such as Modern Warfare, World at War is still an underrated gem that captures a very realistic and great depiction of what is known as the largest human catastrophe in history. Multiplayer is still very enjoyable, albeit with some flaws, and Nazi Zombies is probably the best game mode overall.

Very good WW2 shooter with big maps and realistic weapons. It's not an easy game to play but very rewarding. You even get to drive and shoot tanks. I especially like the local co-op mode; great fun! Maybe the graphics are a bit bland and outdated by now, but the gameplay is still awesome.

Of course by passion I mean absolute hatred but hey! These 4 zombie maps are a fantastic opening to the others that we got in BO1-3. This, in my opinion, is and always will be the best CoD. Expand

This game was truly awesome. Some many hours (days) logged into multiplayer. Hackers eventually ruined it though sadly. I hope CoD gets the hint from the FPSers out there that we want to go back to WW1/WW2. I really hope BF1 destroys CoDIF in sales. Maybe remaster this work of art at least? Please?

  1. Call of Duty: World At War needs better character development and more "oh my God" moments. However, it's still a terrific first-person shooter. The combat is tight, the presentation shines and the multiplayer, particularly Nazi Zombie mode and co-op campaign, will keep you blasting enemy soldiers for weeks.
  2. Treyarch did a remarkable job of breathing new life into the WWII shooter. They followed the conventions outlined by Infinity Ward to a tee and, as a result, created a shooter that is every bit as good as last year's entry. Of course, there isn't a whole lot of innovation this time around, but the increased Multiplayer options, new settings, and great enemy A.I. should more than satisfy all but the most jaded Infinity Ward fanboys.
  3. Call of Duty: World at War is a solid entry to the franchise, offering some pretty intense gameplay and nice new online features. However, the return to WWII means that it feels like a game you’ve played before.
