    Borderlands is a fantastic RPG FPS without flaws that you should really check out. I think the game is already pretty well known by now so I only wanted to comment on the difference between the standard edition and the GOTY edition. Originally I would score Borderlands the game itself as either an 8 or a 9 with preference towards an 8. I am very annoyed at the cost and packaging of theBorderlands is a fantastic RPG FPS without flaws that you should really check out. What is with the shaft? I bought the game of the year edition because i'm not into downloads. I wanted the extra expansions on disc. Should have checked before i preordered this edition but the expansions are given to you as a download code and only as single use only. So what is up with the shaft honestly? Who wants a single use download code when you could own the actual product you are buying? And what about the people who don't have an internet connection or have a psnetwork account they are now forced to do some extra work to get the expansions? I would have just kept my original disc instead and handpicked the expansions to download since all of them aren't top notch. The expansions are available as hard copy discs on xbox (separately)and the downloads are already available as a product on the psnetwork so this re-release is pointless except to fool people like me who thought they'de be buying the product content on a disc. Anyway, extremely annoyed I bought this version on preorder and do not have a hard copy disc of the expansions. Just seems like bad business to me and don't like the direction these companies take to take everything good away from the consumer and justify their actions with silly excuses such as "most people don't need a hard copy disc and prefer to download". Anyway this title is a rip off. If it drops in price its a good pickup because you get all of Borderlands but at the full price you might as well buy the original version then just pay later to get the expansions you are interested in.… Expand

    Amazing package coming out with probably hundreds of hours of content. This game is great and while I understand the somewhat mild reviews it got. I can tell you that the reviews are irrelevant if you are a fan of FPS and RPGs and if you like to generally collect stuff when you play games. This game was made for you if you meet that criteria.

    I got this game today and am loving it. For just $40 you get the core game and 4 dlc which each cost $10 separately. It's a huge amount content and if you haven't picked it up yet, you should. The rpg elements and the shooting elements merge together so well. You get that, and put it into a sandbox game. It's a great, customizable game with amazing weapons, shields and mods. Great graphicsI got this game today and am loving it. For just $40 you get the core game and 4 dlc which each cost $10 separately. It's a huge amount content and if you haven't picked it up yet, you should. The rpg elements and the shooting elements merge together so well. You get that, and put it into a sandbox game.     This game is really good, i love playing it, its one of my favorite games out there I think every one should get this game it has good graphics and good gameplay

    A very unique game. Though slightly lacking in variety during the first half, the inclusion of four expansions mostly make up for this. Ultimately it's innovation and fast paced, addictive gameplay is what saves it. Even with an anticlimactic, rushed ending the vanilla game is worth playing through several times (maybe once with each character?).

    I'm a massive fanboy of this game, and unfortunately I couldn't find the PS4 version to review, so I'll just go with what I can work with. This game is almost flawless, but it does have a few glitches, mistakes and bugs that can make it undesirable for some people. If you can get past those very minor issues, you'll have an excellent time playing this masterpiece. I actually bought this game when it first came out on the PS3 because I thought the cover was very appealing. Well, so was the game! I can't tell you how many hours I've spent playing this particular video game, and after all of these years I still can't put it down. Honestly, it's my favorite game of all time, because I've never grown bored of this game. Just like my second favorite game, Skyrim, I simply will never let this game die in my heart.… Expand
