Playstation Official Magazine AustraliaJan 25, 2011Unlike Super Street Fighter IV each character here is truly unique; no two fighters are the same as each other so you're guaranteed of an interesting battle, and also longevity. This just feels like a better game all round, and while it feels great it's not for everyone. The flavour is distinctly Japanese, so if you've weaned yourself on countless anime and manga, and don't mind some Engrish, then Continuum Shift should be on your shelf right now [December 2010 p81]

Jan 4, 2011BlazBlue: Continuum Shift offers intense and varied fighting for both beginners and advanced players. The story is good but a bit heavy to get through and overall it's an incredibly smart and effective fighting game with great depth.
-

Dec 22, 2010It'll teach you things, broaden your horizons, and give you a damn good time; think of it as the Mrs Robinson to your brawling Benjamin Braddock. As Taokaka might say, meow can you resist?
-
It's not really a sequel but this is certainly a superior version of what is already the best new fighting game franchise of the current generation.

-
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is about as excellent as fans would expect. If you liked the first, there's almost no chance you won't like the sequel; the only question – as I stated before – is whether or not you think it's enough of an upgrade to warrant a purchase.
-
BlazBlue: Continuum Shift is a worthy upgrade from Calamity Trigger, and is probably the best fighter on the market for catering to casual and competitive players alike. Here's hoping a new version isn't announced in two months.
-
New characters, stages, modes, and story are just some of the reasons why BlazBlue fans should consider dropping the money on this "sequel."

Dec 24, 2010No need to Argue, Continuum Shift is a real gem, like its predecessor was. Its 2D visuals are more impressive than ever, is gameplay modes comprehensive, its characters unique and the changes they went through balanced the game enough to make it one of the top fighting games on HD consoles. Even the Online Versus play has been enhanced, and is now more comfortable, with solo play in-between duels like in SSFIV. Last but not least, BBCS has tutorial modes and a system to ease some combos, to ease in newcomers and make it more accessible.
