    Though proving to be a decent addition to the basic BioShock 2 experience, this DLC is hard to define as an absolute must buy. Any fan of the franchise will surely enjoy its tendency towards pure combat, whereas the majority of gamers will hardly feel any interest towards the contents on offer.

    BioShock needs a new setting, storyline and gameplay. Instead it gets a story-less set of challenge rooms.

    I enjoyed the Protector Trials as even though it didn’t really have a story and was only quite short allowed me to try out differentI enjoyed the Protector Trials as even though it didn’t really have a story and was only quite short allowed me to try out different combinations of weapons and plasmids that I wouldn’t have done otherwise. I tended to stick with a few weapons and plasmids in the proper game so it was good to experiment a little.… Expand
