Terrible just like the first one. Levels are all similar and boring with same enemies. You have a set number of continues then have to repeat entire 10 min long level, no thanks. The worst part is the controls. They still somehow haven't figured how to make it work after all these games. It shoots up diagonally when you shoot it but you never know exactly where it will go, and duringTerrible just like the first one. Levels are all similar and boring with same enemies. You have a set number of continues then have to repeat entire 10 min long level, no thanks. The worst part is the controls. They still somehow haven't figured how to make it work after all these games. It shoots up diagonally when you shoot it but you never know exactly where it will go, and during swinging if you aren't perfectly lined up with its diagonal path you die. Shooting forwards requires holding downwards shooting (huh?). All the aiming requires combos of directions and shooting which are unintuitive and not helpful during fast motion activities. You can jump now in this one but its 1 inch off the ground. Cant jump and grab ledges, and cant grab while falling. Seemingly easy jumps made impossible by the terrible controls. You feel like tank that ways 1000 lbs, which is just sad for a platformer in 2011. It is stuck with platforming controls, mechanics, level design, save system, and enemies from late 80's/early 90's. There's a reason things have progressed since then. Guess capcom didn't get the memo. Expand

Boring, poor controls and you can't play it without an internet connection! it doesn't even have ANY online elements. Screw you Capcom this game and the policy sucks

This is more of the same great action the first game brought ut, plus new features such as death from above and jumping. Great looking game, and basically, if you liked BCR you'll like this.

I think this game is really great. I did not play the first game that much, but this I really like. I think it's the controller that is making the difference. Also, it's fun to play co-op.

The addition of a jump button and slightly more forgiving difficulty level makes it a little more playable than the first Rearmed game, but I'd still rather play the ageing original.

On the one hand, Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 is visually pleasing, with some nice remixes and a gameplay based on exploration rather than combat (just like the original Bionic Commando), nice boss fights and some funny dialogues. On the other hand the game is too linear and simple, the controls aren't accurate and the local co-op multiplayer is mediocre.

At its best, it's an inferior retread of some of the first game's finer moments, but at worst, it's dangerously forgettable. [Issue#107, p.112]

The general lack of polish for such a high price tag is unforgivable. [Issue#203, p.98]
