    This is a great game. There are so many elements to this title that will knock your socks off. It is not the true NFL simulator that is Madden, but it is an awesome football game that plays better than the competition in many regards.

    I wanted to know more about the game’s league, but this title doesn’t deliver. With no franchise mode, Crib, or many amenities apart from nice stadiums, it’s the lack of connection with the league itself, not the fact that the NFL is missing, that is a letdown. Bolster this aspect and make some gameplay tweaks, and All-Pro Football will threaten Madden’s NFL more than the XFL ever did.

    Technically there's nothing wrong with the game -- had it released in 2006. While it's great to have Visual Concepts back, they definitely left room for improvement for All-Pro Football 2K9, and improvement is certainly what's needed for this next generation of football games.

    If this were a mid-level priced game, say $29.99, it would be a bargain, but to charge full price for a game that has so little in the way of off the field content is a tough pill to swallow.

The graphics are just OK - unless you're talking about the animations which blow pretty much every other sports game on the planet away. Support this game even if you're a Madden freak - let the companies know that exclusive sports licensing is NOT the way to go! Competition works, people, and this game rocks!… Expand

Can't understand why that happened,& was a thing to do. #2 - Players retire EVERY SINGLE YEAR from the league. The known talent pool could've been cultivated & grown, to where there could've been a multiple season franchise. Since this is a video game AND these players are ALREADY RETIRED, the fear of "progression" could've been suspended, but the art of contract negotiations could've been very real. The life of this game should've/could've been much longer. Even though 2k5 is the better game, pound for pound, this was the next best thing, & I STILL play this, to this day.… Expand

I love the Boston Minutemen, Philadelphia Americans, New York Knights, Washington Federals, St Louis Rhinos, Denver Cougars, Texas Rustlers, Dallas Gunslingers, Arizona Scorpions, Seattle Sailors, Atlanta Wasps, Detroit Firebirds, and Ohio Red Dogs. Names that didn't cut it were Las Vegas Rollers, San Francisco Sharks, Los Angeles Ledgens, New Jersey Assasians, Chicago Beasts, Pittsburgh Iron Men, Minneapolis Werewolves, Milwaukee Indians, Tampa Bay Top Guns, Carolina Cobras, and Miami Cyclones. If you are a Alternate Football League lover (think USFL!) then you will be in heaven! Oh yeah - the players faces could have been better (scary zombies!).… Expand
