Yu-gi-oh GX is yet another game in the card games series. Unfortunately, it suffers from a lot of different things and doesn't really bring much new to the series.

The story revolves around you trying to be-friend other students at the school to have a tag partner for the big tag tournament at the end of the game. This leaves the story pretty thin and poor. The graphics also are set

The graphics also are set in a 2D pixelated world that you traverse which feels very odd as the graphics felt out of place and more suited to be used for the handheld GBA or DS.

Other than that, the core gameplay still runs the same, the card battles still play out the same way they did on the GBA versions with new cutscenes that play when the match starts, when you make an attack or when your enemy plays cards. This is a neat feature but the gameplay is really the only reason you'd want to play this game and I just think other Yu-gi-oh games bring the same thing to the table well making a better game all-together.

Make sure to not sprint through the amount of days the game gives you to play with. Once you reach the tag team tournament, your game is over. Use your time wisely.

you want a generic boring story with an overpowered ai as an enemy for a card game pick this game up...you'll probably end up throwing this game on the trash bin..

No se porque tantas criticas negativas, me pareció un juego fiel al anime, disfrute mucho haber tenido un combate con Judai/Jaden.

This is literally the best Yu-gi-oh game ever, I can not see how you could give it anything less

  1. A classic case of one step forward, two steps back. For all its positive efforts with varied gameplay and the new story elements, the core gameplay remains the same as it has always been, and the poor look of the game and the terrible sound quality really make this game a missed opportunity.

Beginning of Destiny is a technically underwhelming, overly dry card battle game that we can only (and just barely) recommend to hardcore Yu-Gi-Oh! enthusiasts.
  3. The Beginning of Destiny had all the makings of a wonderful Yu-Gi-Oh! GX title but its dull single-player story and little interaction with the world make this a boring and repetitive game.
