Besides my complaint about not having enough extras, Anthology also suffers a little from not having an online component.
-
A solid fighter but with Fatal Fury Battle Archives out on the same day this really cant beat it.

This collection presents something of a quandary; there's no doubt this is a fantastic package and perfectly-priced, and a must-buy for video game historians, fighting game collectors, and fans of the franchise. But the years haven't been kind to Ryoko, Janne, and the other second-rate "stars."
-
I was pleased that there was a new Training Mode included in regards to all four titles, but that's about it. I'm not personally fond of the franchise as a whole and find it to be stiff and unrewarding.
-
There is a major issue when it comes to the speed and responsiveness, and it's so bare-bones that unless you're completely enamored with each game, you'll be bored very quickly.
-
Unfortunately, the age of the collection is its greatest undoing. While World Heroes certainly isn’t the worst 2D fighter ever made, it isn’t the best, either.
-
Games Master UKA poor homage to a poor series. Avoid like Rasputin's loincloth. [Christmas 2008, p.84]
